It was if he'd made up his mind before the game that there was no way he was going to be a homer, or let the crowd intimidate him, and then acted accordingly.

100% right. This is exactly what was going on imo. He's totally incompetent at actually making decisions correctly so he thought ' ok, if it looks like a foul for the away side, i'll give it wheras I'll be careful giving fouls to the home side in case I'm being influenced' . Totally unfit for purpose.

what got me was how the fans obviously were booing the ref, the commentators started going off about how the fans were booing the team and that we've "come to expect more" using it as a springboard to jump on what they said was a horrible performance

He was dreadful. So bad infact, that towards the end of the first half there was a clear foul on a Wolves player by two City players and he didn't give it as I don't think he felt he'd get away with another poor decision

I was listening to Radio Manchester after the game and they all had the same opinion - that he was being petty against City in some of the fouls he was giving, but worse, he wasn't them giving the same against the Wolves players.

Mancini needs to start slagging off refs, before and after games. It's not how I want football to go, but it seems to be the only way to get fairness, let alone bias in out favour. Slag them off, put pressure on them, pay the odd £20k fine and then slag them off the following week

Am i right in thinking he booked Dzeko in the end for laughing at the decision to award a foul AGAINST him again ? Looked to me like he was just going to give the free kick, then saw Dzeko laugh and spun and booked him.

Balo gets jumped all over without moving and the cheeky fucker says he backs into the defender.

Never seen such blatant bias in a long time.

To be fair, he told Dzeko in no uncertain terms in the first half after he had made a particularly stupid and unnecessary foul, that one more offence and he was getting booked.

Whilst the ref was poor, it wasn't helped by Wolves doing a "platoon" and going to gound at every opportunity and generally played like cunts.

Having said that, the obstruction on Balotelli and the foul on Aguero in the same area of the pitch in the 2nd half were frankly astounding decisions given that the ref had gotten himself in a good position. Likewise, when Richards blatently dived in the 2nd half, if he didnt give the free kick, he should have booked him - there is no excuse for incompetence like that!

The one that really drove me nuts was constantly watching the repeat of Spearmans block and listening to how fabulous it was, while completely overlooking that when the original cross came in you can clearly see that Spearman had his arm around Dzekos throat. Stonewall penalty.

If you watch the tunnel cam on the OS Platt appears to be having a solid go at the referee while walking in at halftime.
