As long as its a windup...Van Persie prick slagged us off something rotten...I never want to see that little shit anywhere near us.

I've always despised him as well, but I've been impressed with his form this year.

Still, I'd go for a striker in an earlier stage of his development, especially having seen what Mancini has dragged out of Mario.

Think we need a mega expensive replacement. Wouldn't mind seeing a cheeky bid for junior hoilett. Think he is looking good.

Junior Hoilett is looking good but it's hard to tell if he's got what it takes or is just having a purple patch. Going from a rugby team to a passing team isn't easy.

Are we replacing a guy on the bench or a certain starter here?

Gomez, Lavezzi, van Persie won't come to sit on the bench as 4th choice.

I think we need to go after a kid, there are enough out there with promise.

Agreed, Aguero, Dzeko, and Balo will be our primary strikers with the new, 4th one coming
off the bench more...thats why I gave my recommendations. Young internationals with very promising futures.

although i would almost argue for getting a left sided winger (opposite of AJ) rather than a 4th striker
since we have some young strikers in our ranks already.

Our second rank of players, Aguero, Silva, Nasri, Johnson, Yaya and even Milner I think can move in and out of that forward spot and I believe that's what makes us so hard to deal with. So a player like a Hoilett who can move about the forward line and interchange like City do would be better suited than an out and out striker.

Hoilett reminded me of a young SWP so he'll do.

The other end of the spectrum is though rather than a kid coming up are there any players winding down that could come off the bench, ala Bellers or even fuck face Scouser at the scum?

We do need someone who would be happy (ish) to play 2nd fiddle, as the other 3 strikers have established themselves so strongly in Tevez' absence & got used to rotating as 3 rather than 4. For that reason it may be better to sign a player who moves around more, as Slim suggests, rather than an out & out striker, unless we get a very young kid or a veteran.

I'm not sure Mancini sees it like that though. He'd settle for such a player of course, but give him half a chance & he'll sign Cavani.
