If he wants to generate extra income he might first try looking into filling the missing ten percent attendance (and reasons why it's falling short every home game) considering they are currently on their most successful run in recent memory.

I would always chose success over a stadiumname and money can equal success, this I'd accept a namechange seeing as it could mean a top player coming in:-)

I would have been pissed off for about 20 minutes if they changed the name of Maine Road then i would realise that it was for the good of the club to me it would have always been Maine Road a bit of corporate bollox would have never changed it.

To be fair it's been called the Sports Direct at St James' Park for ages, but this gives more prominent publicity - if it was Sir John Hall & not Mike Ashley doing it then I doubt there would be as much anger as there is up here, quality timing though just as things were going well for them on the pitch!
