Call it what you want, they're still winning. They are not gonna go away and they will challenge us all the way.

But where is the evidence to show that they have upped their game?

By winning their games since. No away game is a given. If we played badly and won you'd say it was a sign of character.

They won their games against similar teams before. If it wasn't for City, Utd would be exactly where they usually are at this stage. Their usual rivals are doing what they usually do; fuck up. Utd have turned in the same performance all season; average. The rest have been below average.

Exactly. No change at the swamp apart from a 6.1 battering. That did have an impact with them and their sozzled manager but they have carried on regardless and won 3 league games in a row 1 nil. Of course they will be our nearest challengers and by the looks of it they won't have to play great to be there. They havent upped their game but they have upped their results.I guess this season is the best start they have ever had to a season.

I am with Bridge's a bit though. I am excited, its impossible not to be, but no way on earth am I going to get carried away and think the job is done.

To coin a phrase, since their "wake up call" they've not played any decent opposition.

Thankyou! I've seen United come back from much bigger gaps in the past. We are not gonna run away with the league and they will be up there with us all season ready to pounce when/if we slip up. Call Fergie what you want but he's done it and been there so many times before so I'm not getting carried away so early in the season.

Nobody has said we will run away with the league. We're just tired of people sucking Utd's cocks when they've not been very good. It's strange how you are convinced we're NOTgoing to run away with the league though. How the fuck do you know that anymore than somebody who says we will ? Thee is no evidence yet, to say we won't. You are making assumptions based on their past & other teams past but choosing to disregard City's promise.

No wonder you think the tv pundits are fair, you're so brainwashed by them cock sucking the scum, you just assume everything will work out for them irrespective of what you've been watching.

I'll tell you why people suck United's cocks. Because they've won the league 19 times. That's why.You don't win the league that many times unless you're bloody good. They know what it takes to win and come back from the dead time and time again. people are acting as if we've already won the league and are just setting themselves up for a massive fall. I've seen Newcastle, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea all fuck these sort of positions up.

I'm not saying don't be excited but don't get carried away because it can all come crashing down so easily. In our next 4 games we play liverpool and Chelsea away and Arsenal at home. We could lose all three and United go four points clear and everyone on here will be going mental.

Why so negative abut our chances? Why are we setting ourselves up for a fall? From what I've seen so far none of the other title challengers look like playing at anywhere near the level that we are at and we have been outstanding. We're going to win the league and you can quote me on that and drag this thread back up in May if we don't

In the 1970s we never had ANY qualms about chanting "We're goona win the league".

As it happens, we didn't. But it didn't matter - we just enjoyed it.

If my auntie had a dick, she'd be my uncle. What if we win all 3 & the rags lose?

You are spreading the same shite as the media. The squad which won Utd trophies had Scholes, Ne***** etc in it. Giggs & Co were a year younger. There is no guarantee this year's lot can do the same over a season but you are assuming they can & that we will slip down below them. We may slip below them & then finish 20 points ahead of them because of our superior squad.

If we do lose a couple of games, we are still ahead of the rags on a head to head, as we will have been to most of the hardest grounds & have most of our rivals including the rags, still to come to us, wheras the rags will still have to go away to almost everybody.

If we do miss the title with this squad, it won't be down to over confidence, it will be down to the players believing the kind of rag propaganda that you are spouting & losing their nerve. Ferguson has so many of you all queuing up to help him do his job. how about thinking positive & standing up for City instead ?

Still trying to tell people what to do?

Fuck off and "support" the club whatever way you feel is right but for fuck sake stop trying to drag everyone else down with you.

Nobody at all ever on this fucking board has said we have done the job and won the league so stop saying that shit too.

I don't know what kind of outlook you have on life but the evidence you're presenting in almost every post tells me I'd rather not.

I suppose it's just seeing United come out on top it situations like this so many times. Not saying we won't or can't win the league but I hope the players aren't as complacent as some of our fans seem to be. There's so far to get yet.

I'll tell you why I suck United's cocks.

I suppose it's just seeing United come out on top it situations like this so many times. Not saying we won't or can't win the league but I hope the players aren't as complacent as some of our fans seem to be. There's so far to get yet.

Have the players shown any sign of complacency so far? No. In fact it is quite the opposite - we are the only team to have won 11 of the opening 12 fixtures in the history of the Premiership and have scored a record number of goals in the process. The fans are not being complacent, we are simply going off current form whuch suggests that we will win the league. Even the bookies have us as favourites for the title - are they being complacent too? At the very worst we are being optimistic

Why don't you try getting behind the team instead of focusing on what COULD go wrong?
