Chelsea did a job on them last night like they did with us, somehow still in the game after 30 mins and built on it, could have won and also lost it, Ade looked 50% interested and 50% chatty with anyone up for a natter. His fall from Mancini's plans is like Nigel DJ good player just drifting out of the picture at a rapid rate, only injuries and African Nations can save him but I doubt it.

I think loaning him to spurs was the biggest show of intent before this season, we basicly said they won't be competing for the same stuff as us.

And we all knew they would be fighting for fourth so that means we basicly decided that we will finish top two.

I like it, and as someone has pointed out they've allready taken points of many other "top" teams even though Chelsea are prob. the only team that were possible contenders for 2nd before the season started.

When agent Ade scores to take 3 points off the rags at the lane we will all be very happy.

If we don't finish above Spurs this season the reason will not be Adebayor.

If he's described as a 'power horse' I'm not sure I'd want to take it on.

We really fucked up on this one this season didnt we?

Ade or Dzeko? Ignore the goals because they are in different teams, but the pure effectiveness of Adebayor is remarkable.

That's his first good game for Spurs for quite a bit.

Mancini said that Ade wasn't willing to rotate so he had to go.

No, I don't think we did, he's had a good game tonight and I think he's done more for Spurs this season than he's done for any other club. What we know is that we are 4 clear of Spurs with a game in hand and we've taken 6 points against them maybe due the fact that he couldn't play against us. The Spurs players are going to go all out now with a real sense of winning whatever they can due to 'Arry possibly taking the England job and that can only bode well for us when the Rags play them in early March. If Ade can do what he did tonight then it will be an unmitigated success; that is of course, as long as we continue to provide the goods in our games but that's nowt to do with Ade.

PS. I'm actually an Ade lover but he couldn't get on with Mancini and that's the end of it.

Adebayor is the type of player who needs to feel the love, i.e. be played every week.

He's a very good striker but he's not in the upper echelons.

Will be interesting to see what happens in the summer. If we still cant sell him, will he be integrated back into the first time.

I'd be happy to give him another chance.

Agreed - the more his price tag goes up the better.

I am definitely not in the camp of “.....oh we should have kept him.....”. It is the same with Bellers – we could really do with either (or both) of them in our squad and willing to be a squad member doing what the manager feels he needs. Problem is both of these players were not willing to do that for the club that pay them a lot of money.

FFS Mancini had enough to deal with when he started and here we sit top of the league – I can understand why he only chose/chooses to indulge players that he really thinks are worth the hassle (Carlos last year) or he has personal accountability for – the others he has just dispensed with.

For me the fault lies with the employees that were not willing to do what their employers needed from them

I know this will not happen – but if Spurs were to sign Ade on a 5 year contract on his CITY salary – how long would it be before the Spurs fans were moaning about his lack of effort etc
