Then some bad finishing & dodgy officialdome has done the rest. Napoli showed twice how a not especially good team can fuck us up if we're not on our game. We only beat Villareal in injury time. Others are doing the same.

People ignored the Napoli result & insisted they were fantastic but imo we underperformed & lacked a plan B. then we let in crappy goals. It is our weakness when things go wrong.

It is the final hurdle to us becoming the team we hope to be. We are not there yet.

But we had 19 opportunities to score today and 10 corners, against their 6 and 1. On any other day Dzeko could have been walking away with the matchball

Its just a bad day at the office as far as I am concerned and not a symptom of a deeper malaise.

If we look back to all the main games away from home since QPR, it's fair to say we could have wrapped all of them up, but missed chances then lost or drew but the big difference was the number of breakaways we were getting prior to the 6-1. Many resulted in goals. Now we never see one. Even v Arsenal it was one late in the game, which we exploited brilliantly, but even the great attacking Arsenal sat behind the ball & stifled us. We will learn to sort it & then they will all be fucked. If we're to win the title this season we have to do it quickly though.

Typical City makes me appreciate New City.

When Scum lost was it "typical scum"? No, shit happens, we get away with it this weekend but we have to beat Red Scouse filth , who will totally fancy their chances against us, thats ideal, we can outplay anyone in England when they try TO FUCKING PLAY FOOTBALL!!

For what its worth, I have a feeling Newcastle will do the rags and order will be restored by the end of the week. A cup final, a place in the 4th round draw, and I am reasonably confident that the world will look a wonderful place in 10 days time.

Apart from us schooling them, they haven't yet had a "bad run" unless you consider 5 1.0 wins a bad run, and I think with their injury problems they are teetering on the edge. If we had been as devoid of ideas and chances as we were against WBA, I would be worried about us, but I think today is just one of them things, you dust yourself down and crack on.

I'm sure Toon can beat the rags but whether they will is another matter. If we don't beat Liverpool though the rags will win.

I hope we play Dzeko again v scousers. I think it's important to get him scoring again. He is a confidence player & could score in every game he plays if we get him playing at 100%.

To be totally offtopic, why did Scouse play Friday? They will have 3 days of rest.

I am sorry palus but i put this loss squarely on dzeko's feeble shoulders. He was fucking utter SHITE and had been for a LONG time now. So many wasted fucking chances on the ball, and so little fucking effort off the ball.

No mate its my fault I woke up this morning and my first sentence was ''I think we will loose today'', so you can blame me everybody.

I honestly think that, given the same opportunities in the same team, Andy Carrol would have done better today.

And generally.

I reckon Balo would of scored a few of those chances he had today.
Still rate him though but he had a shocker.

I agree with this, yeah there are a few niggles here and there but I don't think we should write the whole season off yet. Lets see where we are by March and the panicking can start there!

Trying to pass the ball into the net

i think this definitley
its almost impossible to score against a team that is defending with 8,9 even 10 players in the box.
i think if we had had let west brom and sunderland play against us in our half we would have demolished them on the break , which i think is what we are best at. it sounds strange but i think we are attacking too much against teams like this where we cant get an inch of space in in the final third.

Two games, one point , no goals against garbage who surrendered 80% of the possession to us. With that amount of ball NO team worth it´s salt should be drawing back to back blanks.
Big job on now and as I feared all along Jan is going to fucl us over

We've not won away since Nov 5th at QPR and we are still top of the league.

If we are title challengers (and I very much think we are) then the blip should be over.

So it's upwards from hereon.

But yes today at least was just like the City we've known for so long that we all hoped was in the past.
