Think after our last few results the players will be looking to make a statement that we're not going anywhere. If we play our game we should be able to put a few past the scouse, and I'm expecting us to.

4-0 with a horror tackle late in the game from one of the uglier dippers

I'm thinking liverpool will attack a lot more compared to the last two teams, hopefully this will allow us to be a bit more threatening.

Can anyone find a stream?

*wait - i'm confused...when does the game start, 15:00 or 20:00?
My logic always stays blue, i live in my dreams cause i know it always come's true

Its up to us, if we play well we will win as we are a better side, but we need to remember where the net is and find our scoring touch.

It would be helpful if Sergio also doesnt spurn the gilt edged chances that keep falling to him and he keeps missing at the moment. Come on City.

Anyone with concrete info the game is going ahead? Rags' reserve match v Newcastle is off.

We score more than them, we win. That's what i'm hoping for.

Come on CITY!

No they will do the same just slightly better. More organised on the counter and less 11 men in your own area but all in all the same. It's the best/only way to play against us. If a decent side does it we are made to look very desperate. Think back to Napoli at home.

I see the opposite mate. We like to play it on the ground where it shouldn't affect us while we know the Dippers like to play the long-ball, especially when they are up against it.

I've had worries about our recent games, for one reason or another but for some unknown I feel rather calm going into this one. I'm probably hoping that we've got past that 'Christmas Hangover' period and we now see the boy's get back to business. Stuff the frivolities, now's the time to show the rest what our credentials are really all about, starting with a nice win against a club, and team that I have little, or probably now, no respect for.
Any chance we can all turn our backs when they call out their team? Not in a Rag Poznan type way, just a plain old simple snub just as they did with their handling of the Saurez affair.

Totally agree. Nothing left for them respect-wise. The Suarez thing has disgusted me. Beating them would be great.

I really doubt the wind will cause a postponement, though that would be good for us. Playing 48 hours after the Sunderland game is utterly ridiculous when they played Friday. Furthermore, The Rags Shite play Saturday and Wednesday, we play Sunday and Tuesday. Fucking bent.

It is this lack of rest time that is my main worry. If it were equal rest, you would have to fancy us even given our recent poor performances. Even if we are keyed up to hit back and prove ourselves, the legs are going to start going after the hour. I'm fucking fuming that this is even a factor. Fuck Sky and the FA.

Didnt want to start a new thread but did anyone else notice the laughing and joking going on pre match Vs Sunderland whilst we were in the tunnel? I've never seen Vinnie look so laid back. Hopefully it was a one off as I said to my brother at the time that they could be over confident. Usually he is so focused...

So he should. People might have questioned him had he been laughing and joking before going on to lose the match.

Everyone deals with nerves and gets themselves in the zone in their own way. Some laugh it off and smile, while others get super serious. Lucky, everyone in this world isn't an exact clone of one another.

Judging a player by their facial reactions without knowing what's going on inside their head is stupid. Judge them by their performance on the field, not the look on their face.

If there's any luck that little Suarzi will be blown out of the stadium by a strong gust.

i laugh and joke DURING some of the toughest meetings/presentations i've ever had in my life...doesn't mean your soft, unfocused, or nervous...

i'd like to think this team of cunts actually has some goddam fun playing football together. Crazy me. A smile now and then among brothers in arms wouldn't kill anyone on this team.

cheers

Not so strange, he was having a joke with Mignolet who is also Belgian and plays in the national side with him. Hart was the other one who was taking the piss out of his head gear which is probably normal banter between keepers. You see it all the time if you watch the Tunnel Cam on the OS, just like it's normal for a Sunday League team to chat to their mates from the other team.

Eeez normal.

Edit: I think it may be different tonight though. Just hoping someone slaps Saurez.

I'm comparing his and others body language on one occasion where it could be argued we went into a match over confident, it was entirely different to the norm. As a footballer myself (low level of course) I can remember countless times my team has gone into a match over confident and under prepared and ended up on the losing team. I didn't think I would need to explain that.
Now I'm not saying that's what happened but I am curious as to why the different mindset and if indeed it did have an impact on the match.

Funnily enough, I had a bit of a giggle last time I saw a Belgian close up.

I hope the ref isn't going to try to prove he's unbiased against Suarez tonight by giving the little shite every free kick he dives for. Instead, he should make a point of being totally oblivious to anything he tries on, then book him.
