I saw this. They must have been watching another game. Or had their red-tints on.

Absolutely unreal yesterday, chased everything - his burst of speed when closing keepers down really scares them! Really good to see someone putting such a graft in for the team and his goal was great. A lot of strikers would have stood and watched the first shot but he was so sharp to follow it in and beat anyone else to it. His reaction when he scored was brilliant too.

I may have a new favourite player!

a great performance yesterday, i love his balance on the ball he just looks naturally confidant, only one minor point is he tends to dwell a bit too long, but i will live with that. he will be so important in the coming months.

I've noticed that too. If he could learn to get his shot away sooner he would score even more than he already does.

This is true. He has such a fantastic shot, he should be peppering the goal all the time. Early in the 2nd half, he was feeling some kind of injury but fought through it & turned Wio & Co into nervous wrecks. I just hope he hasn't overdone it.

U do realise the MEN is a red paper now right? Every one of them is a red other than when they drag Paul hince out every now and then. Stuart brenan is a red (the city reporter for them) . Chris Bailey (ex city reporter) and all the other blues have come to work for city, on the website etc. So now it's completely run by reds. If u remember last season after the fa cup semi we played Blackburn away. After winning the headline in the MEN was about some city fans singing "who put the ball in the Munich net" not about us getting a top win and going for 4th. After that we played west ham at home. As iv said on here before , I'm in 111. Literally about 15 people were singing the same thing. We beat west ham. Next day the headline was 'Defiant" city fans still sing Munich . Not about us winning and going top for even 3rd place. So I rang the MEN to put in a complaint . They put me straight through to Peter Spencer . The boss and red also. I said wanna make a complaint about him and Stuart brenan . He started going mad down the phone saying does he question me at my job. I reminded him that his job is a public job and has a responsibility , and if he wants to shout at me again. I live 10 mins from city centre so I'll gladly drive down and we will see what happens if he shouts again. At that point he stopped shouting. I asked him why he keeps going with the stories about a couple of fans when as a local paper we rely on them to get behind us as the nationals hate us cos London based . Plus were in a final and going for the top four. He started saying how it's disgraceful people died etc . I said I agree with that and personally I don't sing it but why not report uniteds chants at Liverpool , 96 was not enough, etc. He didn't have an answer for that. Went onto say mike summerbee Colin bell are all right behind him. And that sheikh mansour is considering leaving city because of it! At that point I couldn't help but laugh. I said, "ok, I actually have nicky summerbees phone number so will I call him and see if that's true", again he started to change the subject and be a lot nicer. We actually finished the conversation ok as I think he realised I had his number. I said, if u got a problem with it , call me. Bring a few police in 111. They will throw 1 or 2 out and it will stop. Easy....... I seen some stuff on here about conspiracy etc. Obviously it ain't some massive thing where everyone is against us. But there is without doubt pockets of trouble causers . We all have to be cleaver and fish them out. I personally started by telling every blue I meet. Do not buy the evening news. At least until we have a city man reporting on city. Not much to ask is it.....

I think it's a hangover from his days in Spain - some players take longer to settle in than others. Once he realises and adapts fully (like Silva) he will be unbelievably dangerous, as oposed to 'just' being dangerous.

Excellent read mate....we have been saying for years that there are people out there continually slagging us off and will focus on any negativity and magnify it 1000 times...conspiracy theory is valid as there are various "rags" like the above mentioned who have to the power to send out reports to jo public.

Congrats on confronting him..... personally I would have been be too tempted to actually go down there and lamp him one but good on you for having the patience to do it verbally.

Thanks for pointing out it was a good read, I'd skipped it due to the lack of paragraphs!

Guess these things go in cycles, when I was in the Manchesteronline office some 7/8 years ago it was packed with blues desperate to be able to write good stuff about City. Those people have doubtless moved on and their replacements are rags. As we become more and more successful we will hopefully see the balance change again! Well done for standing up to them though Seany more of us should take the time to do the same and remind them who their readers are!

I wrote a comment/asked a question, on the Muen online site one time to ask why the Muen were so clearly biased to United. Why posting a reasonable comment on the United side would not be accepted ? Also, why do they have a 'like' button, but not a 'dislike' button, which clearly would be a reasonable thing to have. I mean, twenty united jerks 'liking' a snide comment from a red on a City article does not make it a good comment, or necessarily mean the poster is correct. At least those disliking comment ( moronic , moreoften from Reds), would be seen against those who like the comment.

Newspaper sites , the BBC sites are not objective.

This forum is the most objective place I have seen for debate. Not everone agrees with every topic, the mixture of people who like a topic differs with each topic. sometimes I agree , sometimes I don't .

However, I don't see any censorship here, where as I can't help but feel everything is censored at the Muen site. ( sure swearing etc should be removed).

As a mancunian newspaper, the Muen has lost it all, it's editorial independence. It is a waste of space and time.
A shame actually, because Mancunians all around the world look to something , some medium like the local newspaper to
touch base with home . This clearly is no longer the case.

Nice one lads.....sorry about paragraphs mate. On phone, am shite at all that..... To be fair mate 9 times out of 10 I'd have gone to town. Don't know what came over me! As it was I was sat in the garden as it was a nice day and a bank holiday. Even my neighbours who are reds were laughing, both said everything I said was fair and as reds they couldn't argue. My mrs said it's the longest iv ever gone since she met me without swearing!
What I found though is theres no point ranting and raving (and I'm the worst for that) with these people u gotta be smart and hit them with facts. One thing we have had to get used to is we've gone from being every fans second favourite team to one of, if not the most hated team in the country . Iv personally found it weird. For example when on holiday if met other football fans, most used to have a buzz with u if u said u a blue. Now a lot don't have time for u. Not everyone though. After the Norwich game in dec was in a pub in town and had a good laugh with a few of them. They were saying they respect us as they know what being in div 2 is like. I personally am finding the hate off the old top 4 and other teams who's fans had success before. Everton etc .
Like I said not everyone is at us but need to be cleaver about the ones who are. Starting with them closest to home.
Yeah mate I agree, used to be full of blues. I remember years ago wondering how hince got away with saying stretford rangers and taggart in the paper. Used to have me in stitches . But like I said, all the writers now are reds. All city lads came to work at city . To have a red reporting on city in our local paper says it all.....
I noticed he didn't report on the abuse Leeds v united when they were singing about each others dead fans not long ago.
Finally, must have worked though cos nowt said since, and I told him I was writing to Gary Cooke about his agenda. I kid u not, about a week later they ran an article about what a great job Cooke was doing!

Normally when you hit them with facts it all goes deathly quiet and 99.9% of the time they will dodge the question and / or cut you off altogether.

I wouldn't buy that fuckign rag paper if it was the only paper in existence.

Amazing on the pitch, great passion, great work rate and very talented player.
To say he's made 27 appearances, 6 of those coming on as a sub and scored 17 goals, and people don't think he's reached his full potential yet. This guy will be one of the best in the world!
His Premiership stats, 14 goals in 17 starts, and 2 appearances from the bench

His attitude is fantastic aswell, here is some of his tweets after the game on Sunday:

- I seldom try to find excuses or comment on the referees. But the unfair expulsion of @VincentKompany conditioned the whole game.

- Despite losing, I believe we leave the field strengthened. We almost equalised against all odds. With this attitude, anything is possible.

- I want to thank the fans of @MCFC who inspired us today. If we stand together, both fans and players, we can achieve important feats.

What a class guy!

Another piece from the Daily Mail : http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/footba ... guero.html?

Real Madrid are refusing to give up in their ambitious bid to sign Sergio Aguero and would be prepared to offer Gonzalo Higuain in exchange.

Sportsmail revealed last month that Real president Florentino Perez was desperate to prise Aguero from Manchester City after missing out on the former Atletico Madrid striker last summer.

Madrid newspaper Marca claims that the Spanish giants have 'directly and indirectly' let it be known to the 23-year-old that he would be welcomed with open arms to 'a city that loves him and his family'.

The nine-time European Cup winners also believe that Aguero really wanted to join them when he left Atletico last summer, when Real were distracted by a bid for Neymar - despite Aguero repeatedly expressing his delight at joining City.

Despite such wooing, Perez appears to value Aguero only at the same level which City paid for him.

According to Marca, Real would be prepared to pay £37.5million or offer Higuain and about £5m for a player who has lit up the Barclays Premier League, scoring 21 goals in 37 appearances this summer.

Bait: Gonzalo Higuain could be offered to Manchester City

Higuain has scored 17 goals in 36 appearances and is considering his future after falling behind Karim Benzema in Jose Mourinho's plans.

City have shown interest in the former River Plate striker, but would rather use Carlos Tevez as part of a swap deal.

Chelsea, Juventus, Inter Milan and Paris Saint-Germain are also keen on the 24-year-old.

Any other words are useless for this piece of crap.

Its in Marca which is effectively a Real Madrid fanzine, nuff said.

So they want Aguero, but they apparently are only willing to offer what we paid ... thats nice of them eh? Thing is, Real arent in position to be dictating terms to anyone, nor is there any amount of money they can offer us that we would need, nor do we want their cast-offs.

If they contact us we call tell them his value is £80m, and if they offer that we will turn it down anyway. Marca can then report Kun "desperately wants to go to Real" but that we are keeping him against his will, and our role as official ruiners of football by pissing on the previous cartels chips can be perpetuated.
