Savic had a good first half, but it seemed to go to his head. He needs to learn from his blunders because he nearly lost us a game we could have gone on to win four or five nil. Lescott, I thought, was superb today.

The good thing about Savic is that we've got through another game with him playing & still won. I thought he'd cost us the title but we may have just about got away with it. He's still got a chance to get us out of the League Cup before he goes back to the bench though.

Mario did his best to blow our title chances too but ended up winning us 2 points. Itsafunnyolgame.

He'll be playing a lot more games once Lescott gets his ban. Looked very comfy first half then made a bad mistake with another high ball and just fell apart

And he'll be playing them with Kompany. Now if Lescott misses the next match, Ned and Savic? Yikes!

I don't see anything special about this original one.

Deal wasn't completed, he was on subs bench today.

Agree with all this completely. I wasn't so unhappy with going out of the FA cup early this year, I was just gutted we ended up losing Kompany at such an important time.

Hopefully Liverpool won't setup too attacking and will look to defend their 1-0, which might allow Savic to get by without screwing everything up for us. I'm no football expert but he seems to have decent enough potential at least, just right now he makes far too many serious errors.

Oh and I thought Barry was awesome for us today.

Savic is 20. he's a boy! centre halves peak at 30, there is plenty of time! Agree with Ted completely, we've won when he could have cost us!

The Carling Cup is still ours to lose!

Barry was excellent today!

Oh and I though Joe was at fault for the first goal too!

Both were excellent today, except for Savic's mistake. Savic will learn from these types of games..

I can't understand what Mancini thinks. Savic could be good but not right now. He was shaky after that header. And me too, every time the ball near him, I felt nervous. oh man. I don't want to feel like this again on Wednesday. BTW, letting Ned go is very stupid thing.

I only was able to watch the extended highlights on the City site but from what I saw Savic did cost us the 1st goal and couldve cost us the match ..thankfully Defoe was too slow to get onto Bale's ball. Savic could be good..but right now he shouldnt be in the squad for big games.
I'm not really a City fan. I'm just here for attention.

How is letting Ned go stupid? He has to be let go, his agent used the media to force our Chief Executive to resign from his job. He simply cannot be allowed to stay after that, in fact I doubt Mancini would be allowed to keep him even he wanted to. And I say that as someone who really likes him and wants him to succeed. it just has to be somewhere else! He will be an Everton or QPR player by the end of the week anyway...

i think the first goal was a bit of a catch 22 for Savic - if he left it Defoe was clean through, he went for it but was tall enough so just flicked it through and Defoe was clean through.

His positioning was a bit suspect and after that first goal his confidence dropped, but i thought he was playing ok up to that point.

He's young enough to work on his positional play and I think that with experience he'll become a useful player for us. The good thing is it didn't end up costing us the 3 points and its another premier league game under his belt
