Quite staggering that after the Vinnie sending off ,the Mario debacle plus the Micah handball penalty we have seen constant examples of similar or worse situations treated totally differently.

That's bad enough that the refs are inconsistent and basically crap but also the media and pundits are also totally two faced. Why isnt Cabaye being slaughtered for his effort last night? And I agree 2 or 3 reds could easily have happened in the Sunderland game but hardly a murmur.

Makes your blood boil seeing Komps win the ball and making no contact with Nani, yet gets a ban.
Full contact tackles flying in today and jack shit happens. Where on earth has common sense gone from refs eh.

Some of those challenges weren't even deemed free kicks yet there was an incident in the Arse game where Warnock merely touched Ramsey & was penalised with a fee kick. The different interpretations depending on which refs & which games is ridiculous. Even the same refs treat different games with different standards. A yellow card in one game, the same ref says play on in another.

Re Arsenal. Shambolic. Wenger is responsible 100% for this.

Arsenal used to control games with a great midfield, camp on the edge of the opponents penalty area and probe away. Now they havent got the talent in midfield to keep the ball in the same way and thus just don't threaten as they used to. They make the odd opening and threaten a bit but it is so so different.

What's the same is their vulnerability which Villa have shown up again today. Arsene relaly has to evolve that team or they are in real trouble and will be out of the cup in 45 minutes

The commentator can fuck off. Just has to get in a dig that Lescott should have been sent off vs spurs as if it was the worst unpunished challenge in years. Stick to talking about the game at hand, rather than bring up over-talked about incidents from weeks ago

Would Mario have been sent off for that RvP challenge (at the time or retrospectively).I think we all know the answer to that.

Mario was and always will be a marked man by the ref's.Nothing will change.

I've just now got to see the itv highlights from yesterday and both Warnock and Strachan dismiss the kick in the face. Jokers the lot of them.

And it worries me that his agent could have a point. The most likely reason that I can see Mario leaving City is that the refs/FA just won't allow him to step on the pitch

Dunne's ridiculous, clumsy, game losing, foul on Ramsey was a nailed on booking but he'd already been booked so the ref let him off. We have been getting 2nd yellows for less. We really have had the shit end of the stick in all manner of decisions.

Watching that absolute shower of shite from Arsenal & Villa's defences today makes me think I've been hard on Savic. Even after Arse went 3-2 up they still could have folded at the back. Time Wenger called it a day. Whereas McCleish should never have had a day to call it in the first place.

Not really bothered about the two faced pundits or media. It's obvious who they support and where they give backing eg twitchy writes a column for a tabloid so they're hardly going to go against him. Problem is that the FA is making decisions based on the same media. If they kick off about a challenge, it's looked at again. If they choose not to, but it's a worse foul, nothing happens. Ridiculous and bent way to work that the FA should sort out.

Its weird how managers are not allowed to be regular pundits on the telly because of potential bias but some can write a weekly newspaper column despite obvious bias ...

Same newspapers owned by the major media mogul in English football?

Football decisions are now effectively run by MOTD and Sky Sports plus the tabloids. As most of their pundits are from the 'big 4' and Sky has seen them as the cash cow, is it any wonder other teams get shafted?
