He's running rampant in the league at the moment, scoring goals for fun.
He's definitely gaining a lot of experience which will become vital for him. One reason Dutch players always tend to do well in European football and always seem to have a batch of young brood coming through the ranks is because of the exposure of first team football. Guidetti now getting the same experience will definitely help him. Good luck to the lad!

I must say, he has an insane amount of attitude though, he needs to limit arguing with the officials.

didn't someone once score 7 in a dutch league game????

Afonso Alves - On 7 October 2007, in only his second appearance of the season, Alves scored seven goals in his side's 9–0 victory over Eredivisie rivals Heracles Almelo, setting a new Eredivisie record for most goals scored in a single match.

He had a spell with Middlesbrough.

really? thanks for that.

Ha ha! It was only because Heracles didn't have a good, bald holding midfielder.

Not sure about that.

We argue with officials less than any other top team & yet the officials shit on us more than any other team.

Seen most of Guidetti's games and must say he is improving very well. He brings that something to the table that makes him stand out. At this point I have some reservations as if he would be the level of a City striker, BUT look at his age.

And to put things in perspective. Feyenoord Ajax is the biggest game in Dutch football. There is pressure. Ajax was unlucky to get third in its CL group. Really mental stuff going on in the last game. Two goals by ajax against Real Madrid were incorrectly cancelled. And Lyon (whom Ajax drawed against twice) won with a bizarre 6-1 against Zagreb and got the better goals difference. So Ajax is really not that bad.

So yes, some guy once scored 7 against an weak Heracles side. Alves is (NO was) a rather good player imo, but that was crazy. He threw away his career. But honestly he was good in the Dutch league. It still is the 9th league in europe and will most likely be 8th next year. So its not as bad as everyone says. Besides it has its own special features. Attacking football, bringing young players to big clubs etc. etc. And with an average amount of 20.000 people attending every match, it's doing well in that role.

But back to Guidetti. He scored three. Lets see what Rooney does in the UEFA against Ajax. Obviously not saying that Guidetti is better (and Ajax was missing some important players) but he deserves credit for what he is doing.

What I'm saying is that it is arrogance. His arm gestures, shouting at the refs and linesmen. It will get him in trouble. I'm surprised he wasn't booked yet, as it looked aggressive. Still, his ball control, his play, his strength and his finishing are improving every game. It is good to see him adapt this well into the league.

Hopefully for him, he gets to play plenty more games and even play for Feyenoord another season next season. I think it will do wonders for him.
I know Feyenoord had that Luc Castaignos kid that went to Inter and is hardly getting any game at the moment. Maybe he's looking back at Guidetti and thinks: "that could have been me."
