I'm just bitching that we have to loose key players every TWO friggin years. If they keep it to evey 4 years and ALTERNATE it between N and S , then you could play it once very 8 years in June and and once very eight years in January , thus a British club would only have this diskcing around once every EITGHT years , which would rediuce the impact somewhat

Thoughts ?

I think that's a very Eurocentric (selfish) way of looking at an African event. Your needs don't factor in. It's their tournament, and they'll do what they want.

How about a compromise. The ANC is held once every four tears around this time. The European championship is held at the same time.

For those who have never been able to work out why the corrupt Sepp Blatter retains the support of so many fottball nations, whilst we pure and incorruptable English can only muster a singlevote for oue mutlimillion pound World Cup bid. The above self serving attitudes explain all you need to consider.

When England controlled FIFA under the likes of Sir Stanley Rous, there were only 16 teams in the World Cup finals. They were mainly from the (football) politically powerful areas of Europe and South Amrica and the poorer Asian, Australasian and African nations etc rarely got a sniff.
We wielded power on behalf of the big boys and let the rest rot in hell. Havalangeand Blatter changed all that. There are now 32 nations competing in the World Cup finals and many of the smaller countries are able to earn a bob or two out of it. They now have a chance to be involved.
The rest of the World remember that. They remember that we treated the game as though it was our property to control as we liked. Under Blatter, as corrupt as he may well be, they benefit from financial input, grass roots programmes and more. Something we never offered them

To still think that football begins and ends with what we want is almost a colonial mindset and they find it insulting. It is racist to think that what we do has more importance than what they do.
They have every right to choose what to play, when and how to play, where to play and the right to do so without our permission or the need to apologise for doing it.
Some need to recognise that and deal with it.

It should, but apparently it doesn't.

I remember a few years ago Allardyce at Bolton was whinging like fuck about it, but he knew that one of the negative aspects of signing an African footballer is that they are likely to piss off for 6 weeks in the middle of the season every couple of years.

Just a question about summer football in Africa was Foe not playing in the ACN when he died, I seem to remember that being around summer time.

It was the FIFA Confederations Cup.

I would be interested to hear from doug if he has noticed any change in the intensity of the training. from recent reports there seems to be alot more of the tactical chess like training.

I think teams have figured out that you can park the bus and pack the box and you can also build an attack of some numbers as we are not as direct counter attacking as other to teams.

also, I have noticed that our forwards are working really hard in closing down their defenders and midfielders, however or backs and midfielders are not man making meaning there is always an out ball for defenders under pressure

That was a shock. Suddenly teams were refusing to lie down. I think some seeds were sown those nights.

There has been alarming bells ringing from our PL recent away form for instance goalless draw against Westbrom defeat against Sunderland and now Everton. You cant win titles with this results. We have to make radically changes in tactics and formation.

Mancini is a good manager, he can accept his faults thats is a sign of a man in command. I hope he will get brilliant and win us some big needed Trophies. We dont have to be greedy, it takes years for a club to become a giant club. we are slowly going in the right direction. Money only cant take you there, there will be obstacles, along the way and people will try to push your leg many time times, so you dont get there. We will get there one day so all Mancity fans has to be unite. Mancity is a great club and we the fans will make it greater.

I think it did the opposite- teams are now happier to sit deep and counter-attack, whereas at the start of the season we were taking teams apart with our passing game because they were trying to get in our faces early on.
