Richard Dunne playing right back on Robbie Fowler's debut. It was at Maine Road and think it was against either West Brom or Fulham.

I'm thoroughly amazed and impressed that people can remember individual performances from 2 decades ago.

I honestly couldnt tell you who had a bad game 2 months ago. Probably Savic. I cant remember most scorelines from this season either (i think we won 1-6 in one game).

Its not that i dont pay attention - i do - i'm just not sure why my memory seems to refresh at the end of every game. Oh well.

Richard Dunne also played as the world's worst ever wing back for a while earlier than that, in the 1st Div, during the period where Keegan was refusing to play like Keegan & we were shite. Luckily he saw sense, stopped trying to be a proper manager, & put SWP there & loads of attackers & we started beating everybody.

It was WBA. It was bastard freezing, WBA were absolutely shite and got relegated by a mile but still beat us 2-1 that day.

Dunnie played right wing-back against Burnley away in the title winning season and was an absolute beast. Was quality that day. Agree though on the whole wing-back definitely wasn't his position.

Any of Nigel Clough's.

Was that when they stuffed us about 5-0 at home? Henry scored about 4 of them?

Yes mate. Most of Maine Road stood up and clapped Henry every time he scored.

Nearly any performance involving Samaras, but one in particular was away at Wigan in 05 or 06 when we got battered four nil. Absolutely shocking.

You cant say anything bad about michael johnson around here, he is the next colin bell dont you know?

I cant think of any off hand, prob a memory issue cos there have been a fair few, savic in recent memory, Ellegard when he was in goal for a few games springs to mind.
derby day the scores were level,
then the goat was fed by neville,
silly boy should know for sure,

I prefer the memory of his pen against Gillingham at Wembley.

I agree. I want to remember that penalty plus his debut at Wimbledon when he was immense.

The og was merely the icing on the cake for a performance which was close to inept as I have ever seen - although it was building on from the inept performances he had put in during previous games.

No idea what happened to him to cause the loss of form, the fans were savage that day but ultimately, he had a shitter.

Wayne Bridge has to get a mention for his West Ham debut, seeing as he was still a City player - that was awesomely bad

John Macken away at Crystal Palace circa 2004. He was shocking and even got his arse in the way to stop an almost certain City goal.

From this season I hate to say it especially as he is in the current squad but Stefan Savic versus QPR and at home in the Carling Cup against Liverpool were simply awful outings. Showed massive improvement in his last few games though.

honestly cant think of anything long term. i must have a rose tinted blind spot.

recently, i'd probably say samaras must figure somewhere, but my memory, which may be false, is of andy "the cunt" cole doing absolutely nothing for 90 minutes. potentially not even touching the ball or actually running.

I remember getting beaten by boro in the FA cup at Maine Road in the 90's and being utterly shit. The north stand were singing "we're shit and we're sick of it" and afterwards we got into a scrap with some boro fans after my mate decided they needed to be called ' fucking plastic Munich loving Geordie cunts'. And they ran out of pies before half time. Great day out that was.

He should have at least called them Smoggies, calling em Geordies is the worst thing to do!

Was that the season they knocked us out of both cups? I went the Ayresome Park game, think it might of been league cup. Dunno if it was fog or smog, but I could only see one goal. Horrible game. I hate Bernie Slaven to this day. Face like a claw hammer.

That was hideous. Garrido's against Chelsea in the 6-0 was awful, too - For the most part he was good for us, but he was really poor that day.

Bit harsh on Johnson to bring up the Wigan game - we were 2-0 down (to Heskey, from memory) after 5 minutes and that team (Dickov/Corradi/Samaras era) was never going to haul it back.

Henry and Pires destroyed us in the 5-1 though - some of the best football that I've seen played against City.
