Guess not.

Tis indeed a big blow and a surprise it's going to be as a long out as it is.Today I was told he would be fine for the Arsenal game so maybe the rest will have done him good.

We'll just have to rough it and rely on our three other 20M-pound plus strikers then.

the three which have looked lacking in the case of the two we've been using and potentially not incredibly match-fit? Yeah...those strikers.

easy peasy.

we should play AJ and Tevez tomorrow. and kolarov. i said it.

After watching the per-match presser w/Mancini, he seems kinda amused but hesitant to share how it happened. From his reaction, I recon it's from banging his misses. As a pro athlete he should know the benefit of warming up before strenuous physical activity

Excessive use of 'magic spray' causing skin burns according to Talkshite's Argy correspondant, who sites unnamed sources.

Could be shite but it would fall in perfectly with my belief, which I've mentioned on here on numerous occasions, that Aguero has, like Silva, been carrying an injury for quite some time (hence we hardly ever see him shoot from distace when it was commonplace in the past & of course in his 1st game ) although tbh, the way I see his movement impaired would imo suggest a groin injury rather than a foot injury.

Even if it's true, City will probably deny it, so we'll probably never know.

With the way Bobby seemed so sheepish to talk about it i think the injury may be groin related.Over strenuous activity in the bedroom me thinks.

Is Balotelli likely to start tomorrow then?
or are his reported midweek "antics" going to put him on the bench?

Poor source (rag loving mirror) - but has a ring to it:

Sergio Aguero has put Manchester City’s Premier League title hopes in jeopardy – after damaging his foot on his child’s motorbike.

Aguero hurt his foot riding on a mini-motocross bike while playing with his three-year-old son Benjamin at their Cheshire home.

The Argentine striker then treated the injury repeatedly with an anaesthetic freeze spray, causing burns and blisters that left him unable to play or train.

City boss Roberto Mancini is furious at the player for failing to consult the club’s medical staff and at the consequences at such a a crucial stage of the season.

Aguero missed last Saturday night’s 1-1 draw at Stoke after suffering the injury the day before.

City’s top scorer, with 24 goals this season, is out of today’s home clash with Sunderland and is already a major doubt for next weekend’s vital trip to Arsenal..................

...and with the number of kids that you've got, you'd know about groin injuries.

This doesn't really fit in with Mancini saying that the injury is not Sergio's fault.

I heard the injury was picked up during a fire walking event that was arranged by the club as a team building exercise.

This photo taken by one of the EDS players on his camera phone proves this to be true.

My previous post may be complete bollocks, I just wanted to join in with the wild speculation surrounding the injury.

That's been knocking about for a few days, but I'm sure DH said after the Stoke game that he knew he would miss it but should be back for Sunderland. Couldn't have been at Britannia if that was the case, although I may be mistaken about what DH said.

I reckon he did it whilst running on the crowd for that Pepsi advert he's in. Looks dangerous.
