Infighting.

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

I have to agree with this.

A large number of City fans are behaving like spoilt petulant little brats who seem to think we have the God given right to win every game. I never thought I would see the day when our fans became like scum fans.

With unarguably the strongest squad in the league, most of which are in their second season at least at the club, would you be happy with:-

Away form that has produced 9 points from our last 9 games

Reaching no cup finals, let alone winning any, in the 4 cup tournaments we have been involved in this season

Being second in the league with 7 games to go and needing other teams to do us a favour

I'd say that position is at best could do better.

Some elements of the crowd yesterday were a disgrace, particularly in the second half.

Some of the comments I heard and actions were beyond belief.

Funny enough same people walked out at 2-0 against Lisbon, fans my arse!

The only cause I can give for Mario behaving like a complete dick is Aleks had taken three free kicks already and fucked them all up as well as several corners. It's normal in a game to mix up the set piece takers if they're not flying in. Adding to the fact Mario had already scored.

It still should never have happened, just adding what I think started his little paddy.

It's not just the want of success that brings about infighting

We are all well aware of our current slump in form and none of us are happy about it. It serves no purpose shouting utter tripe in the stadium except for pissing off other fans around you

I'm not suggesting anyone should have a go in the ground, that's clearly counter productive. Silva's previous form is relevant, as he's still playing. I just see no point to the 'we played York, you know' type comments. No bearing whatsoever to our current team. To use your analogy, we may as well slag off Barry Conlon for the defensive errors yesterday

So you say that Silvas' previous form is relevant, therefore agreeing with what I've said and then make some daft remark about a former player, making out that's my analogy? Surely if it was my analogy I would've been defending Dzeko and saying it could be worse we could still have Conlon?

You've also conveniently picked 2 lines out of 8 from my original post to base your argument on, whilst now saying that "having a go in the ground" is counter productive, which was the whole point of my original post.

no argument here.

i may avatar pipe and slippers, but i want no mercy. I believe that given how much we fucked off every other competition that we should have had the players and the motivation to win the league, and nothing else will make me feel happy this season.

we're failing, and i'd like someone named Roberto Mancini to address it, quickly. There are 7 matches left. Go unbeaten, which we really could do if somehow we got on our horse, and anything is possible.

if we flail around like a bunch of douches on the pitch, and most City fans act like what they are seeing is "progress" then we surely have missed the boat I feel.

cheers

If the current manager and team had dragged us from the third tier to the premier league, as Royle did, then they'd deserve some slack. However since then, we've had at least three chairmen, a new stadium, five managers and spent an absolute fortune.

I don't want us to forget where we came from, but we need to lose the losers mentality that because we were skint and shit we should be grateful for every corner we get now. Also, how the league played out last year or 30 years ago has no bearing on what will happen this season. History is bunk, as they say

I think your right aswell.I find it tedious when people refer back to when we were shit.It was a small part of our history. Most of the time we have been a sort of middling club which was alright for me.People go on as if we were shit for generations.

Your first and last lines are about people criticising players from the stands or criticising Silva despite his good start to the season. As I said and have always said, there is no point criticising the team during a game or even booing at the end.

My original point was that people referring back to games which happened 10, 20, 30 years or more ago is irrelevant. From the late sixties we were good for a decade or so. But it has no bearing on now. Similarly, we've ranged from being average to bloody awful in the time since. The only thing that has done is created a mindset for the fans, but with the change in owners, managers and players it has no effect on how the team play.

I'm always happy to see ex-players back at the stadium be they people I never saw play (Trautnan, Bell etc) or players from our bad periods (Rosler, Dickov). It's important to remember where we've been if we want to try and avoid some of the arrogance that comes with success. But just because we were good, bad or indifferent in the past means nothing to the current team and we don't therefore need to accept bad performances just because we've known worse.

The highlighted part is the key for me and others by the sound of it. Unfortunately it seems many of the people in the area I sit on a match day have already stepped over the arrogant line.

Some of you blaming Balo for that spat need to have a fuckin word with yourselves. There is having a boo boy, but for crying out loud look at the incident with an open mind.

The pushing was started by Kolarov (and just for the record I've actually warmed to Kolarov in a sort of love-hate relationship type of way). For some reason, instead of discussing it with the team mates around him Alex just picked the ball up and pushed Mario out of the way. Mario walked over, didn't try picking the ball up, but instead tried to justify probably why it would be better for a right footer to take it. Then de Jong grabbed Mario, Kompany came over and grabbed, for crying out loud what do you want the kid to do? Players pushing him and grabbing him for no reason, no wonder he lost it.

There was also a boring bastard sat behind us that I've never seen before. Spent the match moaning about how much of a prick Mancini is, Mario should have been off at half time, David Silva is a Spanish prick....etc. When Mario scored the 2nd he continued to moan "Oh well the first one was only a penalty". It's no wonder people are fighting when pricks like this guy are going!

No mate, not at all. I'll admit, from where I was sat it looked as if Mario was the one who instigated. But watching it when I got home changed my mind. There was no need for Kolarov to push him away. FFS Kolarov wants to scrap with anyone and squares up to a player at LEAST once a match.

It wasn't long ago we had players like Samaras, Sibo, etc who could care less if they scored, took a free kick, made a tackle. We're now moaning because a player, who is more than entitled to take the free kick as it is suited for a right footer, is pissed off when he isn't given an opportunity to score for City?!!

No offense to this backing Mario, but has the lad ever hit a decent free kick?

If we wanted a right footer it should have been Tevez!

Mario has just tweeted him and Kolorov are watching Wrestlemania together.

Perhaps they could headline it next year.
