I'm not disagreeing, but let's not go overboard here. It's not like he arrived directly from Africa. I'd say Metz' & even Freiburg's scouts with their much smaller budgets deserve far more praise.

Same with Cabaye. Terrific player & instrumental in a double winning Lille side. Hardly unknown those two.

Eh?

Why should we not credit the Newcastle scout??

European teams import hundreds of players from Africa each year.

Newcastle took a punt on Tiote, Cabaye (not African, I know) and Cisse and have struck gold.

Sorry, but it sounds like your being contrary for the sake of it.

But what are they going to be like on a cold wet night in Stoke ;-)

Doing very well and it would be great to see them push Spurs or Arsenal for 4th, hell, finishing above Chelsea will make me giggle.

Ah, the Stoke test??

Couldn't give a flying fuck where they or chelsea finish but Cisse is a player. We need to punt Dzeko, Tevez and Balo and bring in Cisse and Cavani.

Happy days.

Reminds me of Dwight Yorke although the pundits do say Cole. Not sure about us though, usually find they are a totally different animal when they join. Bit like Dzeko really.

A bargain yes. Wonderful Scouting? He had scored 39 goals in 67 games in the Bundeslegia for a average side. They did not find him under a rock.

The Bantams secured league two status today, well more or less. Almost 11 k at the game. They should make a deasant championship team at least.

He's got a point, though. That's about the same goal average Dzeko had in the Bundesliga. Stats like that are bound to create a lot of attention.

And Tiote was considered one of the absolutely best midfielders in the Dutch league when Newcastle went for him. He'd also proven that he could perform on a bigger stage against top teams in the Europa League.

What Newcastle have done well is that they've gotten players in that fit their way of playing and that have been able to acclimatise to English football. But they weren't unknown entities before Toons picked them up ...

The point is, Newcastle identified these players and went out and got them on the cheap before anyone else.

That points to a successful scouting system. They deserve a lot of credit for it. I can't understand why/how that can be disputed.

The Dzeko stat does more to prove my point than disprove it...he's a donkey, Cisse isn't!!!....who got the best deal at -£15Mil??

I still think of them as a 'big club' - funny how the mind works. I think there's a lot of 'sleeping support' in Bradford and they used to pull fans in from further afield in happier times.

Bale is a diving cunt. Funny how nobody ever mentions that when talking about signing him, yet the best player the premier league has ever seen is a 100% no no for the same reason.

Can I ask what I have done to upset you so much? This is the second time of late you have called me abused me for simply disagreeing with you. Last time I checked this was a football discussion board and we are allowed to disagree. I simply pointed out that he was not an unknown (Stoke had him first) and backed it with stats and no insults. That is not trolling, it is basic discussion and debate.

What is with the Sky commentator's and their love for 'Arry and Spurs? Tyler keeps harping on about how Sunderland have been on the back foot for most of the game but it looks quite even to me. Then the usual nonsense of 'Arry Usually Finds a Way to Win Games', well Tyler, have you looked at how many games 'Arry's actually found a way to win in lately? Oh, that's it, 1 in fucking 6 you moron, stating fiction as fact in order to make another of your beloved managers/teams looks better than they actually are.

Come on the Blackcats, give Sunderland something to fight for at the end of the season.

I'm watching it too and didn't hear Tyler saying, not even once, that Spuds haven't won an away game since december, since Norwich, but we hear him talking every City game about this.

What a bent cunt he is. A disgrace for this job.

He's a 'big 4' lover more than anything I think.

They're all his Sky buddies now after years of 'working' together. We're intruding.
