for the first 6 months of his contract. I haven't seen him do anything more special than a tap in since the Arse game at home ~1.5 years ago. Since the Togo incident, he's faded. Had a resurgance with Madrid for a month (but who wouldn't score playing with them), then Tottenham for 1/2 a season. But look at all his goals for Spurs, most were simple finishes, nothing special.

Dzeko is the much better player, he just needs to stop moping about like someone stole his lunch money.

Adebayor is the much better player. In terms of ability it's not even a contest. Dzeko has the touch of a rapist and that's putting it nicely. So what's wrong with simple finishes?

If I had to have 1 it would be Adebayor. Better first touch and has the potential to put some effort in. Better athlete also and a better target man

Yep. Though I'd prefer neither.

Dzeko for me. He's young and still relatively unproven. He could come good if Mancini puts some faith in him. Will he want to stay and gamble his career on Mancini's faith though?
Adebayor is too unreliable. If we had injuries would you want him to spearhead our attack for next season's run in? He's out of Manicini's plans anyway.

frankly its irrelevant. both wont matter next season. they will either get shipped out
or be in the squad and get minimal time..

Preferably the first but I'll accept the latter. If we're relying on either next season, we can forget a title

Dzeko for me. As many have already said, adebayor has his spells of looking like a top striker for a short period after every move before settling into less impressive form.

I still think dzeko could find the form that prompted city to sign him. Think he could turn out like benzema at Madrid who has taken a couple of seasons to fulfil his hefty transfer fee.

I'd be interested to see Adebayor in this team instead of say Tevez and see how he would go?

One of the things with Adebayor always was that he thinks he's the main man and needs to be treated as such and I think thats why his form dropped off so poorly in the first half of last season as he was 3rd fiddle behind Tevez and Balotelli.

He's not good enough to be the main man in a top team though IMO

The question Ade or Edin ? The answer : Lllorente.

Imo Dzeko is a miles, miles better player than Gomes, but Gomes earns his wages.

Lorente could certainly spark off Aguero and Silva easier than Dzeko IMO...and I dont agree with those who say Bilbao wouldnt sell...they sell players when they need to.

Better than Dzeko imo.

Better touch, better skill, better awareness of team mates, better passer, better at heading, etc. Move also don't break down when he touches the ball....In fact, Adebayor is excellent at keeping the ball ticking.

What he lacks is work ethic, and it seems he is improving at Spurs.
Under Mourinho at Madrid was the hardest I've seen Adebayor work...that man works wonders.

Sadly, I don't think he will play for us again as long as Mancini is the manager. I think same for Tevez next season.

If we're gonna raid Bilbao for the better Fernando Torres then we should also get Munain.

Muniain would be my No 1 choice out of any player but I just can't see them selling (or Lllorente for that matter).

If City or any club with the money went to Bilbao and offered ridiculous good money theyd sell...they did with Del Horno, Yeste, was going to say Xabi Alonso but he was Sociedad. Now what a player HE is..but would it be a simple hello heres the money yes please sign here? no...thats why RVP is a no-goer IMO...lets get the one or two deals done nice and quick

Lllorente was my preferred choice for the 'big targetman' role before we signed Dzeko & in summer Muniain starred for the Spain U21's & impressed many people alongside rumoured City target Javi Martinez (who played as an overage player) & Juan Mata (same).

Muniain is only 19 though, so miles ahead of Mata in development & the fact that nobody has gone for him makes me think he's off the market.
