To play devil's advocate on this....if I was in town and wanted to go to this game (I actually don't remotely want to go....hate derbies....too much riding on it) and a fellow blue said "I need the cash, you can have mine for 300 quid" I honestly wouldn't feel like I was getting ripped off.

Yes, it's more than face value but I'd say that's way below what you could possibly sell it for.

I have no issue with the price

If someone stumps up for a season tickets with their hard-earned cash they can do what they want with it. Moreover, if someone has 500 quid to spare for a one-off ticket, they could've bought a ST and not have had it come to this.

Some people aren't in a position to turn down hundreds of pounds like you obviously are. It has fuck all to do with Thatcher. I've given my ticket to family and friends for nothing in the past but if someone else had offered hundreds instead I'd have gone with it.

I reckon You have misread Soccs there, Mate.
and actually I find myself in complete backing of Your stance, that's why I turned down an offer like that despite a huge desire to at the derby singing the Blues among all of You, and plan to buy a ST with almost the same money, instead . respect for money means respect for hard working people as well.

we are gonna partner (I'll talk privately about proportion of shares, with little room for discussion, MY FRIEND) to buy two STs, with the help of your loyalty points merged with my little few, if possible. I will be leaving the use of the 15 games I might not attend to Your disposal, knowing for certain that You will use that for the benefit of others Blues. as You'd been done for Your entire life.

Alioune, Mate.
I haven't stopped to learn since my birth, despite having - sadly almost twice your age - so truely no offence intended. every day's a school day and all that....

one thing for sure You haven't learnt yet is that You have to be extremely CAREFUL when even reminding to Jon that Maggie existed.

Amidst all this bickering I seem to have lost track of if the ticket was sold, out of interest?

None of us know the ins and outs of other peoples lives. I would hope for most on here doing something for their families would come before a football match anyway.

Seen as you two, no offence, sound like you couldn't rustle up half a clue between you I will tell you now that loyalty points have bollock all to do with applying for a season card.

They open for renewals.
Then movers and shakers.
Then they go on sale - on this day you phone up or go online (16 digit card number, expiry day and security code in hand) and ask nicely for a brand spanking new season card, select your seat and pay. Then whatever points you have acquired are applied to your season card plus a bonus for it being your first card (around 1000 points) plus any extras for joining cup schemes or "going platinum".

It is first come first served assuming there is no waiting list on account of all the new fans we have picked up this season. You should try ringing up a few days before they go on open sale because the numpties on the phones rarely know what is going on and you might just get one early. If it doesn't work the first time ring up the next day and try again.

Thanks Asht,
that's pretty much what I figured out.
and without willing or pretending to be arrogant at all, I can promise You that I use to sort a deal out. In fact I do rustle up enough when I am bothered.
if I am mistaken, and I'll fail, my second nature is humble enough to revert to option b and beg for Your valuable advice the second day of open sales... :-)
thanks, sincerely.
