The bright side is Nike shirts tend to be cheaper. unfortunately the quality isn't equal to the current umbro ones. Wasn't a fan of this years home, its grown on me, but I think every shirt Umbro have made for us has been excellent and has had a 'story' to it or a reson by its design.

Judging from experience i've always felt that united's kits have always been intended for the most chaviest/scroatiest of the fanbase and shirts and all designed to be worn with trackie bottoms, nike shocks and ankle monitors. And the way they just have random away shirts, there was one where they looked like Chelsea FFS!

This is potentially what Nike's biggest 3 contracts will be wearing next season:

On the plus side next season everything in the City store will be cheap as chips.

I'd certainly hope so. I wonder how much of an influence Mr Cook had with this deal even after he was given the old heave ho. Incidentally, anyone know what he's doing these days......apart from influencing multi mi££ion pound deals?

This most likely isn't a new deal. Nike probably moved us over from Umbro because our brand has become bigger. Meaning they can have more merchandise in more stores. I do know until the end of last season you could buy last years home kit and one of the Mercer jackets from the Nike website.

Sorry City, not impressed.
Of course i'll get over it as we keep winning stuff but still..

I don't want Nike making our stuff but to be fair, if the young women weren't working in sweat shops for next to nothing they would be getting fucked in the arse by pedo's for next to nothing.

Lesser of two evils.

Being an "old timer" I love the Umbro brand.

I hate Nike because that shite have worn it for the last few years.

Not Impressed

I would love adidas , nothing comes close from a boy of the 70's & 80's

So long as we keep using maroon with white pinstripes and red/black stripes and white designs every now and again we'll have a respectable kit.

Hopefully the powers that be at City realise we don't just win stuff, we win it in style ('56, '69, 2011 finals etc) and stop any attempt to put skid marks down the back of our home shirt!

Berbatov wins golden boot, spends following season on the bench while his team loses title on goal difference. Well played, Fergie.
