That statement is majestically glorious in that it's the quintessence of irrefutability.

Well said Goaters.

How many goals has Balo scored in the league this season and how many assists does he have? I think we have definitely seen a big improvement from him this season; he needs to control himself more, true, and maybe stop putting himself in the spotlight out of the pitch, but overall I'm pleased of his improvement in behaviour and effectiveness on the pitch.

Balo won us the league by being banned for 3 matches which brought on the partnership of Aguero/Tevez which was so crucial in the 2 matches after Arsenal which put us back on track!

FFS Beeks bit OTT saying Balo won us the league it was the TEAM.

Fat Jesus strikes again.

i personally thought it was Kompany being so far forward that he drew the defenders away from the space Aguero had which allowed him to score.

Also, Chappy....he gets some credit for sorting out Kun's boots, finally.

He was great when he came on last sunday. He gave us a bit of verve and looked a threat.

However, the sad fact is that had it not been the last minute of the last game, with so much at stake, he wouldn't have bothered slipping Aguero in. He'd made his fall more theatrical, turned to the ref, then beat the turf with his fist in frustration at not getting a pen. He'd then have spent the next thirty seconds sitting with his head in hands until he could be arsed getting to his feet.

Couldnt agree more.

His agent has said a few times that next season will be his last in England so only one more year of underachievement mixed in with the odd flash of brilliance and bizarre off the field behaviour to go.

I'm really rooting for Mario to do well for us next season, to fulfil at least some of his potential.

I don't think we'll see a mature Mario ever though, it's part of his make up to be crazy and unpredictable. That's what makes him what he is.

balo (or any player) will be carded if they walk off the field due to racism at the euro's says platini. The refs have the power to stop the game if that is happening ... but would it just be easier to book balotelli? That's what they'll probably do.

I just read Platini article on this - unbelievable if verbatim. I can't see a ref cancelling a game? He is deluded if he thinks that this action will sort out racism. He never will, but he should take a leaf out of what has been done in uk when it. O ex to dealing with racist behaviour in stadia.

I wonder what the sanctions are regarding awarding points? Its a minefield.
No time for a replay in a knockout comp like this.
What if the team winning is the one with the offending fans that cause the abandonement?
What happens if a game is abandoned on 45, 60, 75, 85 mins? Is there a sliding scale of punishment dependant in the time the ref halts the game?
