I think we'll sign:

RVP
Daniele De Rossi
Javi Martinez

and a couple of younger 20 somethings that will be part of the first team squad, but we won't have heard of.

We'll sell:

Ade
RSC
Guidetti
Weiss
Boyata
Tevez
Dzeko

and other randoms i've forgotten about.

We have Savic (sort of) and Boyata if needed (who for me always did alright), we also have Richards who did well in the middle last season a couple of times, Zabs can cover RB. Barry too if the worst comes to the worst. I wouldn't spend any of our time or resources on looking for a CB. JL and VK have YEARS left in them as the best CB pairing in the league. Both will keep getting better. There's no doubt JL had a great season.

Completely disagree.
We are going to play over 60 games next season. Lescott has extremely dubious injury record and they will not be able to start all the games with Kompany anyway. Certainly not being fresh. Throw in suspensions and you see that we could easily, in fact very likely scenario, be starting games as Kolo and Savic as our centerback pairing. Savic is fucking useless and shouldn't be counted at all. Boyata is promising but needs to get more games under his belt on loan. Last season didn't work well for him. Micah as centerback is possible but that would leave us without cover at right back.

Also Lescott has max four years left considering the injuries so replacement needs to be groomed anyway sooner or later.

I knew you'd disagree with that.

we are now the only premiership team that has not signed anyone for the first team! Largely down to the fact that we need players out before in, and we clearly aren't prepared to get bummed anymore, but we need to get deals done. RM won't be happy...

The point of professional football is to win matches and trophies not to sign new players.

Wow.

Yes it would be ideal to get them into pre season nice and early but I think Mancio will be ok.

I don't believe for 1 second that the club is run in such a way that we cannot sign someone before we sell. Agreed we need to sell, but I highly doubt one is dependent on the other. We nearly signed Hazard before we had sold anyone, and there is an offer on the table for RVP, so there is at least 2 big money deals that weren't reliant on us selling anyone.

I'd settle for that lot, although I'd like to see Weiss suddenly become a star (where is all that potential from a few years ago?)

I think Bobby is more interested in the Chimp, instead of RVP, even if he said so.

I don't know how he will play RVP (if he comes here) with Aguerro, Herman, Mario and Edin. Hope he doesn't have some ideas of playing RVP as a winger.

I still would like to see a centre half, a centre midfield and a right footed winger - still concerned we've heard nowt about De Jong's contract as if we can sort that I'd be happy to concentrate on a centre half & right footed winger

We don't need to sort DeJong's contract for this season.

He is still a City player. If he decides to go at the end of the season, sure we lose a transfer fee, but not a big fee; who is going to pay big money for DeJong in his last year other than maybe PSG ? By next season, we may have another player, even a kid who can do his job.

I want another creative player. I agree I'd prefer it was someone who can double as a winger, as we have few people who can cross a ball with intelligence (anyone notice Kolarov hitting dreadful high crosses under the crossbar for Aguero & Tevez last night ? What fucking planet is the cunt on ?) but we MUST have backup for Silva.

Although last night was just a warm up, it highlighted the same problem; a determined defence can stop us & whwn we do get wide, we are a poor, poor side. Dresden were able to put crosses in courtesy of Savic being fullback & they put in balls with purpose, into areas, aimed at actually causing us problems rather than just kicking it in the air & saying " That's my job done".
