What I've thought, increasingly, over the last 2 years, is simply that Brian Marwood is not a sporting director, let alone a sporting director who fits the bill of a Club aiming to lead the world of football (and have to do that fighting with the most unfair and dirty opposition of the established powers). He is just one of the many and many pretenders who populates the business world nowadays.
This is not and opinion is a fact proven, if nothing before, by the extremely mediocre results of his job.

Mancini asked and agreed 2-3 specific signings with HRH and the Chairman.
Unfortunately, the current set up of the Club in that department is not up for the challenge: I know it and You know as well.
If You give a F1 to drive to Your granddad, You can say what You want on and of who is assisting the grandad from the box, but Your grandad will surely crash against a wall, nonetheless.
The sooner this will be realized, the better for the Club. Till then we will continue to sell players at half the market price and buy option C or D players at double the market value.

What Nige does, isn't a priority to most clubs. They would rather spend the money on a creative player or a cb etc & just stick Joey Barton etc in there on the cheap.

Barry has been better than Nige & he wouldn't fetch much money at all now, so an out of contract Nige is only worth a token fee.

I like Nigel a great deal but IF we have a significant improvement lined up (ie. DDR) then I have absolutely no issue with the sale.
