I thought we got peppered by a good team, and grew into it as the game went on. We looked strong at times and given teh goals we scored, and that weird fucking miss by Yaya, we should have won it. I think some of you are completely mental, and I honestly put it down to being raw after a result. Do you simply expect us to go everywhere and dominate all game and win?

Btw I blame Vinnie not Joe, not that I'll hold it against him if he proves who he is as we crack on this season.

Edit: nor do I blame Mancini

Something's going on. Experimenting with three at the back at Anfield, giving three players their debut against Stoke and playing Nasti for the first time away at RM - is he trying to tell the hierarchy to buy the players sooner?

I imagine Mancini would have wanted to change it but we conceded so quickly that he felt we were unable to. TBF we were far better all over the pitch when he changed it and if Vinny hadn't of ducked (and if you wanna be harsh if Garcia had closed down the first quicker) we'd all be hailing Mancini as a genius

No we wouldn't. Anybody could see we were second best all night and that we'd got it wrong.
I wasn't even that upset when they won it (cept it had to be that vile bastard who scored) because we really did deserve nothing.
Bob won't learn from it either. He'll crap his knickers next time too.

to clarify i didn't think we were the better team I meant we played better. We came into the game more. I agree we were second best all night

Blame Bobby for the negative crap in the first half yeah but blame the Captain for the loss of a point.

I'm not sure if I'm missing a joke here or something but Lahad is spot on there.

Edit: maybe not this year, even if we don't get out of the group. But unless he makes us better in Europe he will face the axe eventually.

Blame him due to the 3-5-2. Get over it Mancini.

I guess the Lescott drop was "stupid" but we'll never know if JL played if it would've been any better (or worse).

I don't blame Mancini for the ending. Everyone just concentrates on last 20 mins. I blame him for the first 70 minutes which was just simply fucking embarrasing. I never expected to get anything from there (I mean they have won every single campaign starting home game in Europe in past 36 years). All football world was watching. For crying out loud, my mom called me half time and said that we are rubbish (feeling sorry for me). MY MOM.

This was genuine chance to show the world that we mean business and play positive football and aren't just pretenders. Even if we had lost. If anything, it's games like these that will get Mancini sacked somewhere in the future if he doesn't improve.

You know, the real reason why Sheik bought us was that football is probably the greatest marketing product in the world. Everyone (-Americans) loves it. EVERYONE. And there are not many things on this planet that have more positive image. They do NOT want to be embarrased by team playing negative football.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?
