The thing i'm most disappointed about is that AJ had/has the tools necessary to be a real talent. Looking back, he'd make a few sub appearances and then maybe mancini thought, ok he's ready to start. And of course when johnson started he did nothing, so back to subs to prove himself again. Any time he got the chance to start it was like he switched off.

And also, in 10/11 he appeared 43 times for us across all competitions and in 11/12 he got 38 appearances ... if you can't make a lasting mark with that many games, I think you only have 1 person to blame.

I don't agree with people saying he was never good enough for us, or he didn't do anything for us ... he did have some excellent performances off the bench, and he did gain us points. Unfortunately, it seems like he's an arrogant twat, and that's a shame. Hope he sorts himself out and actually achieves something.

That's the loser mentality that means AJ will never turn all the potential into performance. There are lot of ways to look at that situation. There are guys who see it as a challenge. "Fuck me, they got Yaya Toure playing, I really need to step up the effort to win his spot". Or "Blimey, all these world class stars around, the things I will learn from these people and things we will win".

There are no players who will be ahead of you in the line up "no matter what". That's just bollocks.

Johnson seems to want to chat into every microphone since he left, and he is indeed eerily similar to Stephen Ireland and his both elevated and deluded view of his own abilities.

He didnt play often enough because he wasnt good enough, end of. City arent a charity team, there to field players because they ae English and the media loves and wildly overates them.

Johnson is the favourite player of every person who never actually watched him play at City, and saw the odd highlights package. Yes he has talent, but consistency is alien to him and he regularly disappeared in games just as he did on saturday giving no impact to his team.

Yep I'll go along with that as well - for anybody doubting what he was capable of just look at last seasons dvd - some real quality from AJ, assists and goals alike, but he's made a decision to walk away rather than put his talents to better effect - a real shame.

But as he has been spouting all this rubbish in the media and now plays for a diffferent team lets not conveniently forgot some of his contributions as if they never happened.

He's taken a massive backward step and talked up a load of shit, putting the spotlight on himself more than ever, he has to deliver or become a footballing nobody, which would be a waste
