If we cannot sell out against a big name like Ajax in our 2nd season of Champions Lge football then what is going to happen if/when we ever improve in Europe and become top seeds and have group games against the likes that United have faced in recent seasons eg, Basle, Cluj, Romanian side last season etc. The answer is we will have even more empty seats at European matches on the evidence of our attendances at City in previous European campaigns.

Well simple answer to that is sell the tickets for a tenner and stopped ripping off working class fans who want to go to games but cant afford 30, 40 , 50 quid for a ticket. I would say 50 k of united fans are geunine working class men an women. The rest have money to throw around. I know the ITV presenters could afford to have a season ticket at every premier league club without batting an eye lid, just blatant snobbery.

And if we sold all the tickets for a tenner, how do you propose we make up for the loss of revenue that would occur by doing so?

Unfortunately, it's not a simple answer. Don't get me wrong, I'd love all clubs to sell tickets that cheaply, but with all the top clubs striving to attract the best players and needing to generate as much turnover as possible, selling tickets for a tenner won't achieve that.

I agree with your sentiment, but the reality is that scenario just can't happen in this day.

The club makes more money having the ground with 35000 in and charging 45 notes a ticket that it does full at 20's.
Unfortunately the face of modern football is if you cant afford to go,dont.

The thing that really pisses me off is when cunts like Childs and Keane drop the sly digs in about it maybe not being quite full, those fuckers have more money than sense who the hell are they to call normal folk? top wankers if you ask me.

When city have sold tickets cheaper it hasn't filled the ground. Then after they have been dropped to maybe £15 for example, then get raised back to £17.50 for a later game, people whine that its a rip off and they won't pay the extra!
we have a load of part time fuckers who don't turn out for cup matches, no matter what price they charge.
I hope we at least get in the Europa and do well, taking it seriously. The final is in Amsterdam and City fans had a splendid time there last month.

I must admit, the atmosphere will be well down this season without me or my mucker there. Thought some fucker would take up the slack but it seems the [strike]Sad[/strike] South Stand and [strike]Whinging[/strike] Singing Corner just haven't got what it takes.

T'was strange to see the Family Stand doing more than them last season!
