He's got a good left foot and he has got a net trick where he pulls the ball behind his right leg, but almost all other aspects off his game are below par. He can't defend, he's not a very good passer, he's slow, he can't bet his man, he's no exceptional tackler.

Beckham couldn't beat an egg...

What's that twat got to do with anything.
I like Kolarov, brings something different to the side when we're chasing a game but he's no winger.
Manchester City left-back Aleksandr Kolarov has insisted he wants to stay at the club, and hopes to prove his worth to new boss Manuel Pellegrini.
The Serbian has been linked with a move away from the Etihad this summer, after struggling to hold down a first-team spot in the three seasons since his big-money move from Lazio.
However, Kolarov isn't planning to seek a move elsewhere, and remains happy in Manchester.
"I'm well at City and I hope to convince Pellegrini of my qualities and to play as much as possible next season," Kolarov told Tuttosport.
"The interest of important and prestigious clubs like Juventus pleases me, but I won't decide alone about my future."
The 27-year-old did refuse to rule out a move in the future, with Italy especially appealing to him.
"If something will happen, this will first be decided between two clubs," he added.
"I can say that I was fine in Italy and that I like Italian football."

AG7 wrote:Kolarov is NOT a winger, Kolarov is NOT a set piece specialist, Kolarov is NOT a midfielder, Kolarov is NOT an attacking midfield player NOR is he a part-time (cover) striker ... so why do people judge him on all these, I fail to understand ...
What he is, is a defender, a left-back at that ... and as that, he is shite, sucks big time ... so stop fucking around and ship him out ASAP and get a cover for left-back ...
All we need is a centre back and cover for left back ... and I'll be extremely happy with our squad. The AC Milan game today cleared up how much depth we have in our defence in six minutes ... so stop fucking praising his all the part time hit and miss roles, and talk about what he is supposed to be, a left back for us, and I am afraid he's shit at that ...
A bit like that 19yr old Agar, the Aussie spinner who makes 98 on debut and everybody is in love with him, the whole of Australia and even our very own English media ... Oh well, soon people find out he's a spinner in the team and he's shit at that ... so making 100s at the end is not his fucking job; get over!

I read it as soon I posted it ... I was typing it on my phone so when I started it was at previous post and then by the time I typed, you had posted in between ... all experts in everything over here forget what he's supposed to do and if he's not good enough for that, who cares what else he can do ...
Oh, that reminds me a previous open question to all experts know it all's over here ... has anyone figured how Pellegrini is lining them up on set pieces? Man marking or zonal?
