Whos been worst value for money

Has to be RSC plus Lee B.

I have no problem at all with the idea of signing RSC, if he was fit or if he just had a very small injury.

I can't understand how a player who is clearly carrying a long term injury gets past the medical staff & gets insurance etc.

Lee Bradbury actually ranks worse for me, because we had the money to cover RSC without worrying.

Back in the days of Frank Clark, Francis Lee actually found him a nice little sum of money to spend on a few players & one half decent striker to get us up, then that was our budget, gone. Amongst all the strikers linked that we could realistically have signed at that time, Lee Bradbury looked like the absolute least talented & had the worst record, but Frank signed him anyway.

Joe Royle would have built a team with that fee alone.

Ooh, I forgot about him (£40 thousand-a-week?). His first game was excellent but that was it, 2 seasons of dross. I believe he recently changed his name to Steve Mcminimum-pointy-finger.

I can honestly say the pleasure and pride that I had on Macmananananmans debut v Villa, was pinching myself after the game that little old City had signed such a class and impressiver former Champions league winner from Madrid of all teams ..... then I woke up

Surprised nobody has mentioned jack shitwell. The guy cost 17 mil, injury prone and can barely play football. Gives the ball away, can't tackle or win the ball and can't even pass. Utter joke purchase.

He didn't cost £17 million though did he. It was around £7 million.

McMoneyman had a great debut i recall but after that he was such a disappointment.I think he called it a day at the end of his time with City.

Add a clock and you've got Flava Flav.

Caicedo shouldn't be anywhere near this thread - he came good before he left.

RSC by a country mile. The difference between him and Jo is that with RSC we knew we were buying shite, whereas Jo was perceived to be a bit of a gamble that might come good. Samaras comes in the top ten somewhere as well, on the basis that when we signed him we didn't have pot to piss in and I think we paid about £7 mill for him.

Well it was widely reported we paid 17 mil for jack shitwell. Even if it was 7 mil, still a waste of money.

Whats the deal here.

You sign up and in your sum total of 4 or 5 posts have made nothing but negative and inflammatory comments which are petty, ill informed and unnecessary

"Shitwell", are you 10 years old or something?

Not having that, Benjani scored the only goal to win us the Munich Derby that time. With his shoulder. Legend & worth twice his fee.

I'm still adamant that he didn't touch that ball. I reckon it was Petrov's goal personally.

What about Bianchi (apologies if spelt wrong), I remember a couple of goals of his, but a bit of a shocker overall.

How much did we pay for that 7 or 8 minutes we got from Gláuber Leandro Honorato Berti?
and lest we forget Alioune Toure, inspiration to one, but another that we got less than a quarter of an hour from.
If I wanted to get Dazby's back up I'd mention Simon Colosimo.
So Simon Colosimo
