fair do's, some people didn't like milner at first. i did. i'd take issue with "getting better with every game" - thought he was shite today.

mind, so was tevez.

As pointed out later:

"Isn't he a bit similar to Barry? As in good player, breaks play up and lays it short to a more attack minded player." It took Barry a little time to be appreciated but now he is recognised as a vital player in the team but still vastly underrated outside City.Garcia isn't that yet but he is improving and showing why we bought him.He was not shite v Fulham unless the criteria is that he should have assisted in a goal or scored or gone on mazy runs.

Also re Tevez. He didn't have a great game but he was just about the only one making stuff happen in the 1st half with his hard work and he made a gr8 run to give Edin space for the shot for the first goal. And he did assist for the 2nd goal whilst continuing to work hard and threaten like with the perfect pass for Silva to miss his hat trick.

right doug, i thought he was "shite" (which is a relative and subjective term) as i thought he misplaced a good few passes, often in fairly dangerous areas. i thought he was sloppy at times. do i think he'll improve? certainly, as he adjusts to the english game.

tevez - he was shite by his very own high standards, imho. poor decision making at times, but i still love him, and he still did a lot right.

i think it was just one of those games where the opposition were so easily contained that the players never needed to get out of 1st gear.

it's funny, as it was nice to see a smaller club come here and try and play football, but i did start thinking that when it was 1-0 and they weren't really penetrating, they might have got a chance or two by just banging it in the box, and i was surprised they didn't...!

Against Fulham at home do we really need him and Barry? He may grow into Barry's replacement but we only need one of them in games when we're going to be on the front foot.

Barry was playing more like Yaya though, so are you saying against Fulham we don't need Yaya and Barry? Of course they were needed in the roles they were played in, because it's our system.

to be fair, i agree, but the main other creative option is nasri, and he's just back, so i guess we wouldn't have had anyone else to fill that role.

apart from scott sinclair?!

Suppose we could have moved Milner inside and given Sinclair a chance against a weak side for a more attacking outlook. But we won I guess so it worked out.

I am particularly glad to come and state how WRONG and silly, the Javi Lad have proven the original opinion I grew on his capability to adapt to the English game.

He will hardly become an influential game winner, nor his features and his purchase had ever intended to, but he has already showed himself capable of very useful contributions to the cause.

Well in, Javi!
have my mind and heartfelt apologies for the (slags) misplaced opinion I did express on You on the evidence of the Dortumd away performance and just a couple of earlier failure at instant impact.

1. "unintelligible language"
2. "ACID QUEEN"
3. "never once fails to turn a football thread into a himseelf thread"
4. "thumbs stalker often resulting in repetitive thumb strain"
5. ignore the cunt. he's on permantent wum mission. only TIDs may know City

You'd need to make a very good psychiatrist in order to guess what next in a eight yrs long line of hatred...

In Roger Ailes/Donnie Drumpf's words: "don't know it for a fact, but many people say so..."
there must be some truth, then!

Garcia is having to learn how to position himself so as not to get caught out.

He's improving, but still has moments where he gets drawn into no man's land & leaves a gap behind him. A top side will exploit that. Recently we haven't played against any top sides, so he has got away with it.

Arsenal aren't a top side but they've got a hell of a lot of pace in attack.

It was funny when people were writing him off after 2 minutes.

But then again nothing's changed with us. Micah was being wrote off when he had a bad year. Nobody knew what Yaya did for the first couple of months he was here. Dzeko gets shit every match even though he's won us at least two games this season.

He was getting 2/3 out of ten... he has started to get 5/6 out of ten. Still expecting more from someone with his price tag!

Do u know anything about football?
There is nothing special about CDM! Javi sits in midfield with Gareth and wins the ball back. Its the job of a CDM. You cannot expect him to score 10 goals a year or score bombs from 30 yards out, jeez.

welcome to the board, and i hope to read more of your insightful comments in the future.

I did hope that garcia was a 20+ goals a season man meself, and that he could cover for joe hart when needed.

Me too. I thought we signed him for his pace & dribbling ability.

If you compare him with De Jong the one thing he has going for him is height. Neither of them are the quickest with Garcia a bit better on the ball. Nigel had the experience of the Premiership but I think Garcia will be the better long term bet. Vieira he isn't though and never will be.
