I think we need to get some points back pdq. (I mean today really) The reason I am not loads confident is that they have got points from their toughest fixtures, quite undeservedly but nevertheless they are there in the bag. At Chelsea, City and Scouse they were second best every time, and with a mixture of outrageous refereeing and extreme good fortune they have nine points.
But we look slightly more likely to reel them in now than we did a few weeks ago.
If we can stay close and then beat them at the sty, they will shit themselves.

I think we all want to get those points back Pics but these are things out of our control. Unless..............

To be SUPREMELY confident would be just silly, cause failind to:
1) pay the reasonable respect for the winning experience and overall attitude (environmental bias included) which the Filth features. Much enforced by the current 7 point lead... btw if some1 is able to present me a couple of arguments to improve my negative low expectation ahead of the WHL game, I'd be extremely grateful.
2) The Clueless Mancini shall certainly manage to bottle it, in a way or another. Last season City were Champ16ns DESPITE Mancini, but miracles do not happens every day.... isn't it Piccs? :-)

Having said that, imho, it's feasable and reasonable expectations should be entertained IF we manage to keep, or better, slightly restrict the current gap, getting in the February/March very demanding part of the Scums' season. may the progress as much as possible in the FAC, too: it would be very useful and the even idea to piss them off, either on the League and a potential Wemberley's FAC Final is already moisting my little, flogged dick... :-)

1. "unintelligible language"
2. "ACID QUEEN"
3. "never once fails to turn a football thread into a himseelf thread"
4. "thumbs stalker often resulting in repetitive thumb strain"
5. ignore the cunt. he's on permantent wum mission. only TIDs may know City

You'd need to make a very good psychiatrist in order to guess what next in a eight yrs long line of hatred...

In Roger Ailes/Donnie Drumpf's words: "don't know it for a fact, but many people say so..."
there must be some truth, then!

I think we need Spurs to get a result today.

Rather than being supremely confident, I think we've blown it weeks ago, but we do still have a chance, & the Arsenal result has brought us back from the edge.

If the rags fuck up today, then it really is back on. But if they don't, we are running out of games for them to lose.

I think they will bottle it if we get close, but getting close is likely to be very difficult.

If we can beat them in our return game I can see them losing 1 and drawing 1 easily.

if they draw today that will do for starters, theyve still got stoke away, wba away, fulham away, west ham away, us at theirs chelsea h
arsenal away, could see them dropping points in a lot of those. meanwhile we have to keep winning.

Pulis & Fat Sam.

If our title defence depends on that crew, we have got problems.

One thing I do actually like is the fact that the Media machine seemingly crowned United as Champions around Xmas. Granted I'd like to close the gap to 4 or 3 points asap but I think we perform better when chasing than when looking over our shoulder. The fact that we have done this before should help immensely.

Sure United may not slip up but the probability is that they will at points. As will we in all likelihood. We just have to hope that they do it more than us.

Here's hoping for a few tough Champions League matches for them.....if anything I think that could be the thing that gives us the chink of light

I agree ... but you are forgetting this means us winning next 15 games ... which I don't see happening ... so rags don't have to drop just one game and a draw beside losing the derby at home ... they will also have to drop as many as we do in next 15 games ...

Yes, if we go on a run of 18 games without dropping a single point, we will win ... that's 3 down and 15 to go!

This pretty much sums up my thoughts. I 'm of course hoping that we will catch up, but I'm also quite resigned to the fact that we probably won't. If we do, it will be a huge and unexpected bonus for me.

I am more confident now, if we just keep on doing what we have to do like we did yesterday . The difference between us and them is that we dont go spouting our mouth's off like them we just quietly get on with it and hopefully we will have the last laugh just like last season, keep the faith and keep believing.

Right now I am very confident. And I've lost my hope when I thought that this match is gonna end 0-1....

Now, Im confident that there is much more to tell this season.
We can do it. I feel its going to be up to us, not them.
The most important thing for a forward is speed of thought. Top players read the game.

We have to win every game.

They only have to play Neverton before they play us the rest are the usual cannon fodder.

Not to confident unless the rapist breaks his leg.

But it is a "funny old game"
