Zabba for me with Silva, Barry, Tevez, Lescott standing out to....Thought Panti was very dodgy at the start but settled in and had a good game, sorry for slagging him in the match thread ;-0

The Team! all filled my heart with pride, including those who missed something upfront.
Silva and Zaba stood out, with Garcia pretty good and solid, close second.

Agree with Beefster, it must be the match winner, not only for the goal, obviously. but, once again, we are still living an age when the one who despatches it home deserves an additional vote.

5. ignore the cunt. he's on permantent wum mission. only TIDs may know City

You'd need to make a very good psychiatrist in order to guess what next in a eight yrs long line of hatred...

Agree with this. Also Garcia showing his versatility playing centre back for last 20-25 mins aswell as the holding midfielder for the previous hour.

It was hard not to question why we changed the keeper in those first few mins, especially with that first clearance! I did wonder if it was a tactical thing to counter their launching it forward bombardment and after that initial blip he was solid and dealt with then very well. After today, I'm not really sure why we're rumoured to be in for another keeper tbh.

Nearly. It's the 5th round next, before the quarters (6th round).

I thought Pantilimon, one or two dodgy kicks in the first half apart, was rock solid & don't mind him playing the early Cup games. However, I would understand if we're in for a homegrown 2nd choice keeper for the squad contingent thing.

I voted for Zab, of course, but nice to see Garcia getting some long-overdue luhrve
He's settling in nicely in time for the run-in.
Perhaps it will free Ya Ya to do a more creative, or attacking role, rather than the 'six of one, and half a dozen of the other' mongrel breed which he performs to sometimes questionable effect.

He's also found some form at the exact time we needed, with Yaya away.

A nice first post, Mr Special One.

Getting a creative, attacking Yaya back from the African Cup of Nations, would be like signing a new player for the title run-in. On that basis, I hope Garcia can really kick on from this and start to shine, making it impossible for Bob to leave him out.

Dzeko for me. Just to piss Ant off. In the match thread Ant has a pop at him but silva, Tev and Aguero made just as many blunders but got off scot free.

Edin put through some fantastic balls, but it was his defensive work that really stood out for me. Stokes main threat is from the set piece and Edin got in the way of some of their most dangerous plays.

Clueless Aussie cunt ;-)

I actually acknowledged that some of his general play was good but the parts that he is on the pitch for.....were woeful. Fucking dzeko motm? Dear god

Zabba

That was a test for Errol Garcia today against those dirty cloggers and thought he did well. He was using his body v effectively (exactly what the Bosnian fairy doesn't do) and contributed well. His confidence clearly improving and be interesting to see him when he starts to drive on with the ball also

I think if he sticks around, we should be calling him TROTSO, but probably early days for that.

I can't believe Barry hasn't gotten a vote aside from mine, his workrate was phenomenal.

What a MAN! pure down_under genius.

In front of gems like that, one can gladly discount the mention to Bazza as just an hard worker, rather than a role model mastermind... :-)
and before someone jumps on the guns, I rate immensely hardworkers and worktate.

Zabba for me, but special mention to lescott.

He really kept us solid in vinnies absence and tool one ball out the air with a little right foot dunk over the on rushing attacker that made my jaw drop. Great display.

I think the biggest disappointment of the game was Milner's scratchy performance, after the last few games where he has been on fire this was quite a dip from him.

I thought it was his worst performance in a City shirt, surprising really considering the great form he's been in recently
