Not a fan of Bale and i felt ill this morning when talk sport were comparing him to messi, ronaldo and....giggs.

I would have him at City in a heartbeat though cos he'd give us both pace and width and stop the media ejaculating themselves over him at ever oppourtunity.

£50 fucking million for Bale because? he's quick,he's fast and he's got pace? lol

sums up why English football is dire internationally, as long as meeja and fans act like clowns rate pace, strength etc over technique, vision and brains we're doomed, you can get the like of Michu, Papi Cisse and more for a fraction..

He isn't worth 50 mil but then if anyone pays it, I very much doubt it will be an English club, so it won't be our fault. Also, he is better by a long long way, than those players so a fraction is their correct worth.

There is as much skill/technique involved in producing a pinpoint cross or pinging one in the top corner from 30 yards as anything Silva ever produces. DS struggles to hit the target from 18 yards, Bale does it regularly from 25, including getting a ball to dip over a wall. That is a very very difficult technique & Silva, Yaya, Tevez, Aguero, Nasri can't do it. There are more techinques to be mastered in football than purely flicks & ten yard passing & Bale deserves respect for the quality he regularly produces.

DS is far superior in the brain department to Bale but he's superior to most players in that & his feet are quicker in a tight place than Bale.

However, Bale is pretty much as good technically at everything else & better in some aspects.

I wouldn't touch him with a ten foot one.

I've only seen him couple of times in a Poland shirt and a few times in champions league for Dortmund but I haven't seen anything that would make me spend big money on him.
I fail to see how he would be better than Dzeko here? As I don't think our style of play suits him either.

1. Cavani
2. Falcao
3. Neymar
4. Suarez
5. Bale

Each would cost anywhere between £40-50m (unless someone decides to accept Nasri or Dzeko as part of a swap) ... at which rate we will probably only get one of the five above ... which would you like to see wearing Blue?

I was a big Cavani fan, but after tonight's performance and given he has proven PL record, I'm switching to Bale.

which signs?

The crap that the ragtops put out?

Listen , next week Juventus will be linked with everthing that moves, Bayern will be after Edin and we'll finally get to know about the Poles in Dortmund.

Given that the media are always at pains to point out that our Arab owners are ruining football with their zillions of pounds. Do you really think they will hand over 50 mill of their hard earned dosh to the Spurs . Think about it, it isn't good business

I'd have him over anyone mentioned in this thread, especially Reus. I'd also have him over Hazard given the choice.

He's in that Silva bracket of special talents, only with more goals in him.

I also feel he may be worth 50m, certainly more so than Cavani, Falcao or Suarez, given his age & footballing intelligence/awareness.

He really impressed me when Dortmund played us at the Etihad. In a team full of excellent attacking players his performance was easily the best that night

Reus for me is one of the best young players around i would love to see him sign for City. Not sure why anyone would be against signing him he has been brilliant over the past 3 seasons, even named bundesliga player of the year last season.
