Total non event.

I wouldn't say we've got nothing to play for. There's a realistic chance that Chelsea could catch us, and they're ahead on goals. This should be reason enough for the lads to go out and spank the Hammers.

EDIT: That sounded a bit sordid.

You have every right to criticise the players, but what is the solution? Are they all so bad that the whole squad needs an overhaul or are our poor performances down to one or two individuals that need replacing? Or is it Mancini's fault for tactical and selection errors and not being able to motivate the players?

Definitely NOT a non event! Like I said before 2nd place has not been wrapped up yet! Chelsea and even arsenal can catch us! Important to win this, and baggies and Norwich. That should be enough with out worrying about Swansea and reading away

Good to see people missing me here ... even though I'm fairly new to the forum.

I started the NEXT threads as a way to focus the pre-game discussion into one thread and also after seeing all different threads popping up about who the next ref is ... but they were all on and off. So I simply started creating the Next thread whenever the next ref was announced ... blame the Premier League or the FA if they announce those early or late for some games, but that's when I always started this thread ...

Anyway, good to see the Next thread has now become a tradition on here and others starting it too in my absence ...

Talking of which, no I'm on no holidays, just my wife's been hospitalised in Oxford and I'm juggling between my kid here at home in London and daily runs to the hospital in Oxford ... doesn't mean I ain't reading all that goes on here, but will be back participating more when I get a little more time as soon as she's back home or I end up moving home near to the John Radcliffe.

You guys will simply have to make do without me for another few weeks I guess ...

PS. And whoever starts the Next threads, pls start em right ... i.e. with the ref appointment for that game at the top!

Note I said spineless turds from the last game. Meaning that sort of attitude as against spurs where we have just seemingly given up. Mancini has fucked up too absolutely.. but if we had the hunger and desire that we should have i.e when we play teams like the rags and Chelsea then we should win 8 times out of 10 and draw the other 2.. however of course we will lose at some point but that should be deemed a bloody disaster if we want to be champions. There is absolutely no excuse to lose like that to Spurs theyre not Barcelona are they. Same when we got beat by Sunderland. At very worst that should have been a 0-0 draw. That was pathetic against Spurs and we were bloody lucky against Wigan aswell. If were tired (diddums) then we should be scoring 3 goals by half time then shut shop. I know I sound like a spoilt knob head.. I am! But really.. with our quality and strength we should have done better in the league this season and I dont mean position, we have no right to win the league but we should have been on their heels a bit more. They werent a great team.

Will silva be fit? And would anyone like to see youngsters now starting? Personally I would hold back until 2nd is safe!

Hopefully Aguero and Silva are in for this game. Put the kids in when second is safe.

I can't see how second is at risk. I mean Chelsea and spurs are atleast 2 wins behind us and have a tough run-in including a game with each other. Arse have to play rags and wigan. Arse has also played a game more. And we have to play an already gone reading and a few midtable sides. Giving a couple of youngsters a chance can have many benefits in the long run.

Yes, but they were being chased by City and not by Arsenal, spurs and Chelsea. The latter 2 have imploded for almost 3 seasons in a row now.

Frankly, blooding our youngsters doesn't mean relaxing. We must have trust in them.

Your right, we should, but Mancini doesn't seem to have trust in them, and generally if you start playing youngsters now it does give off the impression that your taking your foot off the gas. What would be your line up then?

Bring up our youths likes suarez and lopes as subs to replace silva and nasri with 30+ mins to run around. Not 2 minutes like Sinclair has got. Will also protect our current squad from ham-strings. That would be a start.

I'm all for bringing them on when were safe.... maybe 2, 3 up hopefully. Maybe give Guidetti a start though, thats about the only youngster I would like to see start at the moment. If he is going to be good enough, he has to be good enough now! i think hes now 20 if im right

Win the next two games, then play the kids. 2 or 3 up in any game, then play the kids. Although I'm not averse to us playing 1 kid per game. It will guarantee some enthusiasm in the side, which is always good to have.

I would love to see Razak play a good 30 mins to show how a centre mid player should get box to box. Feerless!
