PL is overrated, fact.

Is the PL really that competitive? apart from arsenal sometimes giving the rags a run for their money in the past, and the emergence of chelsea and now city. the PL has been dominated by one team....

Well you might not think its many, but you just named twice as many competitive teams from England than any other big league.

Prem is the beat league followed by bundesliga in terms of matches I want to watch. For all the la liga lickers ill watch a serie a match more often than la liga.

Just say that it is bollocks. Not that it 'seems like' bollocks.

Fact is. You are pretty certain you are correct in your assumption that the PL is overrated.

I disagree with you. I think the PL is the hardest league, hence the fairly even distribution of points.

The only worrying factor is why teams roll over for the Rags.

Everton kicked everbody at Arsenal recently, they did the same to City and United, for example.

This year two good , organised German teams advance to the later stages of the CL , next year the other top teams will be more wary of them.

How Bayern got to the final last season was incredible, they were so average. This season they really have improved. Still they were up to their old tricks the other night Even the BBC picked up on the excessive watering of their pitch for example

Even though Barca are 4 goals down, it would't surprise me if they use their showmanship tactics in the replay.

You do admit that Bayern were gifted two dubious goals?

Dortmund ? well if anything RM have an away goal . They have the talent to get three at home

The Prem is strong because of the level of competition from teams right the way down it - and they are able to compete because of the democratic way TV money is distributed. To try and suggest otherwise is crazy.

Think thats largely due to Bayerns underpeformance. Their level of salary and transfer expenditure dwarfs any other german club - in fact over the last 7 years Or so they are easily in the top 5 in terms of net transfer spend in Europe. The fact the german league is competetive is largely down to the failure of successive managers to make the most of the squad that their financial dominance gives them.

Plus some pretty good managers like Jol, Klopp etc who have got far lesser teams punching way above their weight.

It proves FFP isnt the be all and end all, as Bayern are the financially dominant team in their market which proves that money doesnt win you everything. It is again testament to baconface that the rags have managed to achieve a formula that turns financial dominance into consistent long term achievement, even over short periods when other teams have spent more, they have remained resiliant to that.

What has happened in germany over the last 10 years is a good sign of things to come when baconface dies.

A rag tried to point out to me how bayern are the blueprint for financial stability.

They have a net transfer spend close to £250m over the last 5 years, and hoover up all the best german talent at a premium, they hardly bring any of their own through. Having looked into their setup, I'm absolutely stunned at the cheek of beckenbauer to criticise us for financial doping, when they absolutely rape and pillage the german domestic market not only strengthening themselves, but actively weakening their opposition.

You're probably right , but to compare it to the Scottish leagues is a bit silly . They have good coaches and a good school, but I do not believe that these other clubs won league just because Bayern played a league worse, because even when they play worse in Germany you have to win a big number of matches to be the Champion. And this clubs destroyed Bayern in season they won league Werder won them 4 1 in Munich ,Wolsburg 5 0 and so on.Problem there is Bayern buy next season players from that team like now Goetze , they have bigest pull in any big league for there domestic league players. When they want to get what is usually not the case in other leagues .But in Germany any season can one team go over the top so not like a Scottish league at all.
You can't be a real country unless you have a beer and an airline. It helps if you have some kind of a football team, or some nuclear weapons, but at the very least you need a beer.
