I've been avoiding the press today even more than when Thatcher kicked the bucket - I had an idea Moyes was on his way somewhere after we signed Rodwell without so much as a whimper from him (and it was reinforced when the press kept going on about him being in the final year of his contract with no renewal agreed).

Issue with FA Cup coverage is that Sky doesn't have rights for any games so they can't show highlights from games even in news while reporting so they traditionally don't cover it as much anyway ... and given Fergie leaving and Moyes as their new manager is big enough news for then to simply bury everything else ...

ESPN and ITV has the rights and they have done their previews etc already in the week. It's in their news segments every day and ESPN has a lineup of program's starting at 8am on Saturday nonstop all the way to the kickoff. (All already set to be recorded of course :)

So Sky can go to hell, BT Sport has already taken over ESPN and has today launched two new channels BT Sport 1 and 2 and in HD as well and they have announced it free of cost to existing BT Broadband customers ... good value even for those who don't get it free for the year as ESPN alone was £10 pm. And here on they have picked up more games than ESPN used to show and these include 18 first picks ... so fully expect some derbies to be taken away from Sky.

Hopefully they'll break Sky's monopoly further.

Sky could show highlights from other broadcasters if they kept the other lot's logo on it during the coverage, just like the Beeb and ITV do during the news with coverage from Sky - it's just that they wont show events that they don't cover themselves.

Apart from the times he took Preston to Wembley and twice with Everton.
