I have to agree with most of the posts he looked awful for the first 20 minutes but got into the game after that. Not a bad first game in the prem and I think will be ok as cover until we can get a top class CB

A cover player? Yes.

Worthy of being in our first XI and a long term solution? Good god no.

Oh i am not disagreeing with that, clichy seemed a bit lethargic. Mind you he had just been bombing up the left flank a few times prior to Torres taking him on. I just thought demic could have moved faster, perhaps he can't anymore ...

Clichy was goosed and Demichelis could have marked better but my issue was with Nasti. Marking nobody and almost ducked out of the way to let Torres cross. He seems totally lost without Vinnie ordering him around.

thought he looked a proper defender. Looked like he knew the position inside out. I'd like to see him with Vinney but this bizarre thing that's reared its head at city of playing a left and right footed centre back is a joke.

On the flanks I get it. In the middle it's bollocks.

Good signing and a good fill in for Vinney.

Left footed centre-back is relevant when Lescott is involved as he's so left-footed he simply can'tplay on the right hand side of central defence

Also this is not pub football. Defenders have to play it out of defence so ability on the ball is more important than it is at lower level

Demichellis or Garcia. Not even close. He is a short term stop gap at best but rather have his knowledge and leadership than Garcia every time

Mate I just can't comprehend the shit I hear about ball playing defender to justify an average joe like nasti over lescott.

Lescott's pass completion rate is excellent but apparently he doesn't make enough defence splitting passes.

Tbh though, as I've said earlier; due to the ridiculous treatment he's had, I don't have confidence in him now, he doesn't llok confident & has lost his understanding with the unit. I just think he's a better option than Nasti or Garcia, who aren't good enough, but I want us to sign a top cb soon as poss & let the poor cunt go somewhere he can play football before we ruin him completely.
