I don't think I've seen him all of the second half. Has he been subbed?

Garcia has swanned around like a 36 year old former world beater on a final payday.

Shame he's about 25

He is totally average at best, can't understand why he plays anywhere to be honest. Milner would clearly be a better option in midfield.

Garcia was ok once Milner moved central. But Milner was miles better there than either Garcia or Rodwell, taking 0.5 of a second off every Newcastle pass in the middle.

Nonsense: as regards starting him at centre-back its because he prefers ball-playing CB.
As regards playing him at DM, it's such a key position for us that he needs to keep him match-fit

True, Milner was much more effective when he moved into the middle.

There is one and only one thing Garcia is any good at, and that is Taking Up Space. If that is a tactical method, then hats off to Pellegrini for getting some use out of a completely useless player.

He isn't even a ball playing midfielder, never mind centre back. Lescott created 5 times as many attacks as Garcia today when Garcia should have been coming & taking the ball instead of hiding.

James was creative, read interceptions, tackled, got stuck in in, was there in defence, then there in attack. if he doesn't play there next match and Garcia does Im starting a Pellingrini out Campaign!

I'll be honest. I wasn't impressed when we first signed JM....Fact!

He was a centre mid when we signed him. I remember Venables & Peter Taylor being interviewed & they were both talking about Milner as the future star of the England team in central midfield, how he was learning the position & about to make a big impact.

Mancini signed him & stuck him on the fucking wing, where he is totally hard working but average most of the time.

Almost all of his best moments for City have been central. Again today; Ronaldinho style 'eyes' pass without looking. Class.

If he's anything like the last one; we don't. He will just play him at fullback next week, wingback the week after, then bench him for 3 weeks, then put him on the left wing, then bench him, then put him on the right wing...etc.

Never read as much bollocks on this site. He is crap at cb and dm. Lescott was excellent tonight and could easily play balls out.

If he loves him so much then why did he start with the second string last night?

Btw he was successful with 95% of his tackles against Chelsea and to all those that say he just passes backwards and sideways have a look at the graph provided in this link

http://squawka.com/news/2013/10/28/play ... 3102829754

I don't think he's good enough for our first XI but as seems the norm he is ridiculed by many for not being world class. It's all a bit pathetic really.

Tend to think these things are built on bollocks, but Garcia did play reasonably well that day imo.

I also, very sadly, thought that Cahill, Terry & Ivanovic (3 players who, 2 years ago, when our defence was good, were nowhere near good enough to get in our team & haven't improved) were miles beter than Nastasic & Zabs, who were both ball watching for much of the game & letting people run past/behind them, Clichy (who imo was playing better than Cole at that time) was a joke & if a manager had a choice of all 8 players for the next game, only Demichelis looked anywhere near good enough to get in Chelsea's starting back 4, but still wouldn't get in.

2 years ago, Zabs Vinny Lescott Clichy were head & shoulders a better back 4 than theirs & Hart was at least as good keeper.

Somebody has decided that certain factors qualify for points plus and minus but how can it be an accurate system ? There are so many other factors in any given performance than just the obvious stats.
