I personally wouldnt write off lescott but he cant get a game so i think he's done - nasti isnt there yet - a season or two later and he'll be the biz

Well it looks like we need two decent cbs then. And yeah I've written off lescott, it's clear the club doesn't want him playing any more, pellers is no moron we all can see lescott is better than nasti. I'd be happy if we just went back vin and lescott and stuck with it til lescott was past it.

Lescott can sign a pre contract with another club in about 7-8 weeks time. He probably won't, but if he had a future at City, you would expect to at least hear a small rumour of a contract extension.

With Kolo already gone, Lescott going, Vince's injury record, Demichelis' age & Nastasic's uncertainty, it's a given that the club are in for a centre back & have probably negotiated for several. Just a matter of who.

For this season the bloke we did go for, Pepe, would have been perfect for the job short term & is a miles better defender than most of those mentioned. We need to find a young star though.

Denayer could be that, but not yet, & he may not develop the physique to face a Negredo type player as a cb. He'll play some position though.
