Why did England play in a German kit? Was it anything to do with the ref being German? If so, it didn't work.

For my tuppence worth, Rooney was by far the best player in an England/German shirt.

That Keeper is no better than Joe Hart.

Englands defence is worse than ours.

And yer man Lallana from Southampton is crap.

England are brilliant against shit teams.

Why had the goalie been instructed to kick, he never threw it once, against a team who regularly kept the ball for two minutes v Englands average of 5 seconds. Second, what was Defoe meant to achieve? Thirdly, deeply worrying how awful Baines was from start to finish. Probably because I've been championing him of late.We think Micah lacks a football brain. What about the two clowns in front of him, Johnson and Walker? Another one I'd been quietly holding in regard, Rodrigues, as a future City purchase, played his first and last game. And you can see why the Arsenal fans have gone off Wilshire...he keeps getting caught in possession in midfield. Football being the funny game it is we'll probably put up a decent display v Germany.

Now on tuesday we might get a footballing lesson, but i don't think England will be the teacher.

Shame that one of Tranny or Zlatan won't be at World cup. Looks like France will miss out as well.

I watched a recording, late last night & it did my head in. I hate the way Milner is being hung out to dry fetching & carrying for half arsed, posing fucking nobodies.

Then when something goes wrong, he is the bloke who always gets mentioned by name. You can have ten shit passes from the likes of Lampard & Wilshire & if the eleventh happens to be Milner: 'Milner should have done better there' & a little close up from the camera man. The job he was being asked to do, no player of any nationality currently playing in the Prem, could do. It's impossible.

FWIW I don't particularly agree with the criticisms of Rooney, he also had an impossible job playing next to two complete duffers with no attacking support from Lampard or Wilshire (one Hollywood pass per half hour each amongst a sea of half arsed dross) & when he turns round waving his arms & shouting, it's not Milner he's shouting at.

Rooney was pressing as he should be, but on his own. When he turns round who comes to help ? Fucking Milner. Runs from midfield. Wilshire ? Nowhere. When the ball goes loose & Chile run through the midfield, Milner gets a fucking mention in spite of running PAST Wilshire, to double up with that useless cunt at right back, while Wilshire jogs down the midle of the pitch. Lampard presumably had gone for another shit at this point.

The poor bastard is trying to do the job of 3 people in midfield defensively AND support Rooney while Lampard & Wilshire do what exactly ? He's harassing players, they one two it round him & he fucking sprints back to make the 2nd challenge Wilshire & Lampard should be making. These fuckers are getting a free ride at Milner's expense. They are doing FUCK ALL.

If I was Milner I'd just tell the lot of them to fuck off, in public. I'd do a Roy K**ne style interview & tell everyone how it is, then do one.

I hope Zlatan and his chums prevail.

Some good news last night, France look like they could be out. Unless it's all a big set up for a Ribery handball in the last minute of the second game......

"looks like" can be deceiving imho.

i could see France pegging them back 2-0 and moving to extra time or 3-0 to get the chance to move on.

What i don't know due to lack of giving a fuck prior to thinking about it last night for a minute is -- how much stick does the French team get in the media compared to England? If this were the English team someone would be drawn and quartered if they made a meal of qualification with the talent they have....and i think it's even worse because France has arguably way more talent than England have these days.

i still fancy France to move on, as crazy as that sounds at 2-0 down.

Correct for the most part Ted.

Think if Milner played for rags or dippers or the arse then Cleverly or Henderson wouldn't be mentioned for England. To be fair to Hodgson he plays Milner a bit more than his predecessors. Its the clueless fucks like Townsend or Chiles that don't appreciate what he brings. The comment re the full backs is spot on. Neither Johnson or Walker can actually defend. The fact that they look good going forward is in a large part down to Milner as he covers their asses so often. Also he covers the midfield. Lampard taking a shit did make me chuckle. Be interesting to know distance covered. Bet Milner is top along with Shrek, who to give due always puts a shift in. The end product isn't always there but you can rarely fault his effort. A friendly is a friendly though and it seems there are too many for England who don't pull their tripe out every game. Can understand not wanting to pick up knocks but it's part and parcel of the game. A player for me who pulls out injured then plays for club next week regularly simply would not be on plane to Rio. If they can't be arsed to rock up for the lesser games then fuck em.
To sum up Milner is a very fuckin big part of Englands first eleven and does not deserve shit he gets from some quarters in media.

Times this morning gave Milner a 4. Fuck me he wasn't great but he ran tackled passed and crossed. The rest of the cunts either went missing, Baines, Lampard, Wilshire, Lallana and Rodrigues or were comically awful, Johnson, Jones, Smalling, Cahil. Rooney was OK.Watching England is increasingly like watching City before the shiek. You despair of seeing a player who isn't at best fatally flawed(Sibby) and at worst a fuckin joke(Samaras)I bet Sir Joseph would look half decent as he did with us, which says it all. And then I had to listen to Paul Mcartney. Fuck me, him and Lampard should both knock it on the head.lol
