We're you a Prefect at School Phips???

Now don't take wrong way as I am curious as fuck. Blue2win started a thread about Messi at half twelve this afternoon based on the fact Messi got another hat trick today. Folks happily discussing this no problemo. Then at half four rather than just join in with said topic and add you're piece in there, you use search to find thread months old and restart that thus making two threads titled Messi. Why???? I am intrigued.

I appreciate there is something in the forum rules about using search to find a thread rather than starting a new one but honest fella people wouldn't have thought twice by Blue2win creating this today.

As I say I am just intrigued.

Cheers

because i don't see the point in cluttering up the forum database with 5 Messi threads when it literally takes under 30 seconds to click "Advanced Search", type "Messi", choose the "Maine Football Forum", and choose "Topic Titles only". so, I dug this one up to a.) point out the ridiculousness of that fact and b.) entice a mod to combine the threads. call it attempted shaming with the hope of behavioral correction.

plus, virtually every other forum i am on and have been on chastises users for not searching before creating a new thread. so now its ingrained in me.

lastly, wouldn't it be more beneficial for all of the discussion about, say, Messi to be in one thread, regardless of the time of posting?

i appreciate the civility of your question.

Messi is amazing , the best but 300 mill , no ! That is 3 amazing player u can pick . If Messi could do all alone Argentina would won WC but Messi has Neymar, Vampire , inesta ect. I would rather take Inesta ,rIbery ,Ibrahimovic . For 300 u can buy 3 that kind players

Sweet suffering Jesus...

This phips cunt must have been beaten pillar to post growing up.

Prefect indeed.

I'd say he was probably too much of a cunt to get on the prefect team.

Serious question. I've only ever seen this 'Prefect' thing in films. Is it a Private school thing or is it something you have in all English schools.

I know it's straying off the Messi thread, but what do Prefects actually do. What's their function.

they are given a role with a bit of responsibility, usually the oldest kids in the school are prefects and they keep the younger ones in line

Fuck all really. Just get a shit badge and you essentially become a grass as kids think they're special then. It usually just went to the proper goody two shoes kids. Final year students too.

You know in American kids shows set in schools there are hall monitors? Bit like that.
