Navas. He set up the winner and worked hard.

Could have gone for Hart, who made some good saves, got a gash under his eye for his trouble, continued to play on with fortitude and kept a clean sheet, or Fernandinho, whose work rate was immense as usual and showed hunger and resilience in getting a positive result; he just keeps getting better and better.
But instead, I gave it to nobody because nobody scored the winner and nobody made a good header nor was involved in a couple of other efforts that almost scored our second (from no goal of course). Nobody put us two points clear on top of the table as well, to challenge Arsenal who may likely lose or be held to a draw at St. James' Park tomorrow.

Joe Hart. Trautmann-esque bravery, great saves. Delighted to see how razor sharp he is again.

Went for Hart, won us the match today. All three points are down to him, someone should inform PBL.

Does anyone else think that PBL sounds like a new american sandwich?

I'm going to vote hart and agree with everyone.

Felt like you yesterday slimbo, make one fairly obvious point and end up having to explain it to 12 dimwits, none if which got it after all.

MotM for me was our own CJJoe Hart because he did exactly what was asked of him throughout and was, to me, our stand out performer in a game that called upon his best attributes (such best attributes being fully delivered).

I should also mention that, while it was a frustratingly insipid performance compared to our more usual feast of plenty, I'm proud of the squad today because it was the second game in less than 48 hours in a period of many games and tiredness had set in thus calling upon those perhaps less match ready and in some cases again upon tired legs - in a game that did little to inspire adrenalin and against difficult opposition trained by 'park the bus' pulis to sit back and fuck with the tempo.
It was a grind it out win by a slightly disjointed team of several changes and it was done in a manner of least effort in the middle of a heavy schedule.
A tedious and nervous 3 points today but if the selection helps us to 3 points again at Swansea on Wednesday then it's happy days.
If we had De Gea and the rags had Hart, we'd be top with a 9 point lead and they'd be in 12th place - that's the difference between a 'good' keeper and a 'top class' keeper - 12 places - think about it.

Dzeko may have won us the three points but Joey defended them stoutly.

I've opted for Dzeko, took the goal well and rarely had time and space throughout the game to get anything out of it - could have easily turned off late on in the game but was still there. Hart was superb and wish we could have a joint MoM but up front we had to keep chiselling away and we did that to the end - credit to yet another resolute performance.

Who's the other lazy expletive ?

Silva was average yesterday. We started being more serious in attack when Samir came on.
