With the current chaos with the UK's borders, it is unlikely Jovetic's family would be permitted visas to visit him over the Christmas period (Montenegrins don't need visas for Italy), and also every other league he has played in has had a Winter Break, allowing him to return home. Florence/Italy also has very good transport connections with Montenegro; Manchester/the UK less so...

What 'current chaos'? Plus, I'd guess a millionaire applying for a visa with a bit of notice wouldn't have too many issues. I also suspect the club would know how to sort those sort of issues out, as he's not the first overseas player.

If he wants the big premier league wages, then he can put up with being away from his family. If he can't, then go get a job in a factory or shop in Montenegro and he can be with them all the time.

At the moment, he's turning into a modern day Danny Mills

Funny how the signings you most look forward to sometimes disappoint the most.

I'm just not buying all the different injuries he has had. Sickness, calf and hamstring since Leicester? Pellers alluding to his non playing as perhaps being not physical? I could be and hopefully am very wrong but its fishy at best. I'd love to see him in 2nd half of season as he is a class act as proven at Fiorentina and International level, but i'm not sure for some reason

Mmm...This crossed my mind too as 'just a thought.' I think for the time being the club are right to continue working on his fitness to give him every chance to play. It may well be that they are aiming at the semi final next week and all is on track. The Count's comments suggest they cannot clearly identify the injuries. If the situation is the same at the end of January then maybe the final 4 months of the season on loan may be a good idea. In the meantime I hope he can get fit and we can see the best of him and he can put all this behind him

No Pellegrini didn't say anything of the sort. It is being made up by our own fans, which makes me vomit tbh.

They asked Pellegrini the other day & he said 'some kind of muscle injury' but he wasn't sure exactly what it is.

Disgraceful this imo.

Surely this is the point. The club doesn't know physically whats wrong as it seems he's injured in lots of areas. This is why some are questioning this. Players are rarely that unlucky with different injuries in such a short space of time

for sure. and it's pretty obv that from his comments today...the player says he can't go and the Count has to believe him. Whether he "likes" a player like that is for the buyer to decide...

Incidentally, when people are quoting Pellegrini as part of the agenda, explain how this fits in. Or do we just ignore the bits which don't fit the horsehit being peddled ?

Mancini hated a player who wasn't basically like Zaba or as "gifted" as Balo.

Mancini isn't here in part because he'd have talked shit on JoJo by now. I think the Count will manage this differently and not get in the lad's head and let him do what's natural to get ready second half.

Fuck off moron. Read what I wrote. Mancini, we are all grateful for his contributions, a legend....but unless you lived under a rock we all know how he treated an injured player. He even said as much several times.

Also, fuck you. Twice. Sideways.

Do we now? I reckon we also know what he would do in this situation or that? And it would be always the wrong choice of course & the absolute opposite of Pellegrini's. As we all know it's necessary to compare present & past managers on all counts. All the time.

Fuck you for bringing in Mancini at all. As if there's not enough horseshit peddled in this very topic. Plucking serious accusations out of thin air and all.

I understand what you are saying mate, and tbh the thought had crossed my mind.

It is well documented that in the past there have been Premiership players that have failed drug tests and served lengthy bans and this information has remained out of the Public arena with the full support of the FA and the PFA.This has obviously been done by citing ongoing injuries.

better make a disclaimer,i am not saying this is the case with Jovetic, there is absolutely no evidence to support this scenario, and to best off my knowledge Jovetic is not a smack head, crack head or piss head or has ever been a smack head, crack head, piss head.

Is a great player and will be a great addition one day .

This thread is just bullshit, even if those accusations are true(for which there is absolutely no fucking proof) delete this thread.

Last I saw Jovetic, he was playing for city and was substituted because he had some injury, not because he had sudden urge for drugs. Give some respect to Jovetic, unless you know him and are aware of the situation its not fair to make such acquisitions.

We keep's injuries from training reports because of the media twats, and others lurking around. But when it comes to open speculation on something so big, no one gives a damn.

First you say it's well documented and then you state it's kept out if the public arena which is contradictory. Any evidence of this actually happening in other cases?

Have retained your disclaimer mate so as not to mis-represent you.

Just have to say something else on this fucking moronic thread thread though.

The Worst thing happening here with Jovetic is that he's picked up several inter-related injuries - IF there's a non-physical boundary (BIG IF) then that would be the phycological hurdle of pushing his fitness levels again with the fear of further injury. Nothing more.
