Ask him if that was before or after Poll's salary was taken into account.

No idea what figures he's on about, maybe the 11/12 ones? I didn't think 12/13 figures have been announced yet?

Accounts released this week by Red Football Joint Venture Ltd., the company setup when American businessman Malcolm Glazer purchased the club three years ago, showed that Manchester United posted a 58.2 million pound (US$113.4 million; ¤73.9 million) net loss in the fiscal year ending June 30, 2007.

The net result was an improvement on the 135.3-million-pound loss the company posted in the previous year

The above is a direct quote from the Manchester United Trust. Seems united lost nearly £200m in two seasons. Was that cheating? Not necessarily but the huge increase in debt probably was. Fortunately, City don't have this problem.

Rags keep deluding themselves with posts like these, they are just becoming the new bitters in town. I find it pleasurable to try to correct these delusions where I find them.

Point about all this is, is that all their holier than thou arguments about how they do things the right way are being destroyed by their own actions. When they're shite and they can't argue the moral high ground all they'll have left is the old tradition and history chestnut, which TBH, no-one really gives a fuck about.
On the subject of Mata, it seems he had an agreement that for 37m+ he could go anywhere apart from the scum, but they were the only one who put an offer in. Apparently chelsea have the hump with scum over the shrek episode.

I'm starting to get confused about all this. We get more money from commercial partnerships than Arsenal. Our main sponsor is a middle eastern airline. Arsenal's main sponsor is...a middle eastern airline. Arsenal haven't won anything for nearly a decade. We're the more successful club so our middle eastern airline SHOULD be paying us more money.

ps. All this Rooney stuff is rubbish. Even before this new contract the top two earners in English football were:

Wayne Rooney
Robin Van Persie

The only good thing to come out of the 'biggest club in the world' bleating for years about how it was their manager that turned average players into world beaters (and not just that they had the most money), is that for a few months they have all been convinced that the party is over, that there team is shit and they'll never win anything ever again. It won't be long before Utd fans realise they have tons of money (Official deodorant partner in Japan etc etc) and that they can compete with us for players.

I'd suggest enjoying them wallowing for now, then accuse them of buying football with their money assisted jump from seventh to the top four.
My Man City quiz book (now in print as well as Kindle) still outselling the rags! I'll be able to afford a Balti pie soon!
Just published a Christmassy Football Joke and Quiz Book too!

Indeed, as I was intimating above, they are destroying their self righteous arguments by their own actions. When they sack smeagol, that'll be another one gone.
"Where were you when you were shit" will be quite amusing.

Old figures, last year's aren't out yet. Our turnover has already passed Arsenal and Chelsea's though so the 'spending money we haven't earned' comments are increasingly out of date.

"Do it all the right way organically" Arsenal are apparently going to charge up to £92 a ticket to Liverpool fans for their FA Cup tie.

Unbelievable.

As for that Tom Watt, who the hell is he? I personally think Arsenal are an arsehole of a club, artificially inflated by footballs first sugar daddy and corruptly promoted by his dodgy dealings. Their fans are smacked arses and their manager is the most one eyed, biased, mard arse this side of Ferguson.

An arsenal fan called T Watt. Fitting indeed.

Stan 'wifebeater' Collymore just tweeted that it's £132 a ticket. Organic fleece.

I like how they pay their board members massive pay rises when their income is still based on a model of matchday revenue instead of being shifted to commercial income like the more sane clubs in the league. As long as those back-slapping dickheads keep giving each other reach arounds in the boardroom it's going to be the fans (not just their own, but particualarly the travelling ones) who suffer.
