Which would you rather lose?

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

For me it's the cup, 3 points in the league off a title rival at this stage of the season is key, pegs them back and keeps us either on the toes of the Arse or even take top slot if they also trip.

The next round of the cup after Chelsea is another gamble - so just by beating then in the cup we may not get to the final.

It's quite likely we could go out of 2 competitions in 2 weeks, FA Cup and Chumps league. However if we get through the next ties in those competitions, I'll start believing.

This is a very pessimistic thread.

I happen to think we can and will win both games. Quite simply we are a better side than Chelsea for lots of reasons, not least the manager

No, like the rags win at ours that will give Chelsea the momentum to go on and win the League, beat them twice and watch the Special 1 implode... Spurs this week 3 points for me and we are on for a History making season

I think maybe the cup. What would piss me off is the thought of the "where's your quadruple gone" type shite, which I don't really think for one minute, is on.
Beat Chelsea twice though and a domestic treble is well within our grasp. Now there's a pleasant thought.

The Premier league title is the ultimate domestic prize so I would value 3 points more highly than beating chelsea in the cup. However the f.a cup is a fantastic competition and worthy of every teams best effort.

I'd prefer the league over all other, so I'd have the 3 points.

Competition wise, Knocking out Barca would come next, even if we didn't win the competition.

Then the League Cup final, because it's one game.

Lastly, the Chelsea FA Cup game. Well down the list imo.

Give The boring 1 nothing and he becomes nothing.. Pellers will smack his arse over the two games, the champs League will be fantastic whatever happens, I fancy us to win the tie for the record.

Me neither mate.

Me neither.

A few folk seem to have gotten very confused over this thread... I'm the last fucker on here to be pessimistic.
For the record, I think we'll win both. I just wanted to know which game people held in higher regard or which game they felt held more importance.

Thanks to those of you who figured out my conundrum and answered the question.

It's pretty mixed so far.

Pity I couldn't add the poll at the start.

Agree with mostly this.

In terms of what I want us to win, the League is the priority, League Cup is 2nd priority as we are in the final, the Barcelona game in terms of prestige and it being a huge game is up there but realistically we are not going to win the Champions League, FA Cup as a result although still a huge match is 4th on the list currently.

If we had to lose one of the games, then I would lose the FA Cup game and take the 3 points v Chelsea.

I want us to lose both because nobody has said that yet. And if anyone wants to punch me in the face I'll give you a big UFC kick in the head whilst I'm wearing my pinstripes and because legs are longer than arms I'll win. Unless you have a gun and shoot me.
