I've less sympathy for a West Brom as they were one of the first teams to charge City £40 and that was before the Shieks money came.

However I think the bigger issue is the overall cost of tickets. I mean we charged Southampton (and our own fans) £53 on the opening day last season. That was ridiculous

yes and the next home game we charged almost half, opening game clamour, every club does it as its a guaranteed sell out.

Away fans should have standardised ticket prices for every game, no reason why we cannot do this and be the leaders.

Max 3k away fans for 19 league games is not going to impact us that much. If the average away ticket is around £40 (this is what someone told me recently) if we standardise to £25

3k x £15 loss on average ticket price = £45,000 x 19 games = £855k for a season. Thats if the away team sell out which they rarely do these days. Put into perspective, its less than 3 weeks wages for the fat cunt at the swamp

The last line sums up this beautifully. Let the away fans in for a tenner. A nominal amount. If it costs us £3m in revenue a year so fuckin what. All these commercial deals we have nowadays, the increased revenue in Prem money, increased TV money in Europe, lucrative pre season games etc etc. Our turnover is now the 5/6h highest in Europe and rising.

£3m is a drop in the ocean for us now and the goodwill generated by it would be well worth it. It would seperate us from the other leeches
