Mancini should never be forgotten for delivering us the FA Cup and League titles, but last season was an abomination in more ways than one. Regardless of what happens this season he deserves at least one more season for all the reasons others have stated on this thread and more. No one can argue that we haven't evolved over the past 9 months. Mancini had to go, we were going into a slide that could have been disastrous. I never really took to Mancini anyway but grateful for what he did, but his man management was evidently shocking.

Much happier this season, playing good football, no dramatics off the pitch. Will be really interested to see how we approach this pre season in terms of transfers and preparation. Pellegrini was only getting his feet under the table last preseason and getting used to the players, now he will know the types of players and characters he needs and who he can do without.

This season along way from being over, but I am already looking forward to how we can progress under a good coach and a good man manager.

Also, I really think Pellegrini will bring on a few youth prospects this year and make them feel wanted and part of the team, which will be enjoyable to see.

Above all else the reason Mancini was let go was because he would not buy into Txiki's vision, his ego wouldn't allow him to relinquish control.
