Mine too (coming via Anazon, June 16th it something it says as release date and they're taking pre-orders) ... it's just a shame though the City's commentator on all games (who'll be in the DVD everywhere) is a bit shit ...

Don't think it makes any difference to the club, mate. Kitbag(?) run the official shop and extort a huge profit out of the fans for the privelege. I'd imagine the club get the same amount from the latter as they get from the former.

If it is, it will ruin it.

It always is ... as City uses all games footage from the clips they own (i.e. Same camera angles as PL TV sells to Sky or BT but their own commentary) that's how the previous seasons DVDs have as well ... so the shit commentary we get on the site in highlights post game is the one we get put together in the DVD ...

Cant the club have a choice of commentary like you can choose different langaugaes on movie DVDs. We could have Cheesy BBC Radio Manchester as a choice and Fanzone Danny as another choice for commentary. It cant be that difficult.

I too have gone for Amazon. MCFC is double as you have to pay £5.99 delivery on top of the £14.99 yet Amazon is free. Isnt that Mission Cityzen supposed to be sorting these kind of things out.

Must remember to complain about that in the 'anything else' next time I get a Cityvoice survey.

Mine arrived today. It's got nearly 7 hours of stuff on it and have just watched the season's review which is around 3 hours. Happily, it's not that clown with the peculiar pronunciations of player's names doing it.

My 3 disc Season Review DVD arrived yesterday (Sunday deliveries from Amazon? What's all that about then?)

Having watched it, the second disc of bonus features is excellent, notably the "fight till the end" documentary about the back end of the season, with lots of interviews with players, staff, external reports etc, and gives a real behind the scenes look at what it was like to go through those final weeks of the season.

The season review disc is also good, but spoilt massively by one feature - the background music that plays during each game's highlights! It would have been nice to have an option to turn that off and just soak up the atmosphere and commentary instead. It's all very well if occasionally (maybe at the start of each months' games) there was a snippet of stuff like the Doves, but instead there's a lot of bands attempting to be Oasis playing with rubbish vocals. Thoroughly annoying. On the plus side, there's some good interviews throughout (notably with Pellegrini) and all seems well there.

Although some people might like the tendency to use the CityTV commentators, what's wrong with licencing commentary from either BBC (Guy Mowbray normally excellent) or Sky and using that instead I wonder?

Not watched the full league cup final yet, save that for another time.

Have to say I'm disappointed. Not really interested in the extra bits yet, just the main DVD.

The background music is dreadful, just intrudes into your whole experience. That commentator is better than 2012 but there is still some bizarre pronunciation of names - notably Aguero, Dzeko, Jovetic, Negredo (there are others) and, most bizarre of all, Smalling (pronounced like smelling but with an 'a'). Most bizarre.

Surely this whole thing can be done better now, it's just got amateur written all over it?

The best part is the documentary on the Bonus Features DVD.
