Honestly we would have been far better off sticking Phil Jones in midfield and asking him to get in the way and partnering him with Barkley and/or Milner rather than that Scouse bag of shit. I really don't rate Jones and it's a sad state of affairs but at least he would have offered something defensively and blocked a few things.

I'm trying to think what Gerrard actually offered us in the two games. He did nothing going forward and stopped nothing defensively. He played a couple of nice balls out to the wing but that's about all I can think of.
