Jose will be looking to put a marker down 8 points clear! We need to show that the interview with Vinny is not gonna blow up like khaldoon's when he said we are a calmer club, and bang cake gate . 6 pointer early season, lose and can't see Chelsea allowing us or anyone to get close enough to have a season like last years scouse collapse.

Let`s face it, this is the first game in a thew years in the EPL when we are starting with the second chance at home. Chelsea are huge favorites and Maureen wants it all.
They beat us when we had no defensive midfielder last season. Not far from that scenario now, eh?

Yaya and Fern1 to play on Sunday. We won't be playing MDM as defensive midfielder this time.

Whats worse is, the feckin rags could be above us before this game even starts and if we lose, thats going to be a LONG week.

like how they are assuming they'll walk all over leicester on sunday - will be far harder than they think, pearson has organised them into a decent side and i really think that they'll cause the rags a few problems.

What a load of bleating coming from the lightweights - Getting stung by stoke was bad but not being able to break down a resolute defence and getting stung on the break does happen once in a while. We were certainly a better side than the arse and deserved to win that one, we sat back against Bayern by design and we were worth a draw, were denied a blatant penalty and Kun nearly pinched the draw back at the death. Our opposition has got better in each of the last 3 and we've got better in turn - with that and with Joe Hart suddenly looking good for a change we will beat Chelsea IMO.
Hankies away and lets get positive for the lads.

Subbing Fernandinho in for the injured Fernando and I'd go for that. But i don't see how there's any way Manuel will drop Yaya, even though he should

Prob debut vs Wednesday.
Manuel knows how important this match is so i dont think he'll run the risk of breaking up a center back pairing that has worked together for awhile now and hasnt done anything to warrant dropping Demichelis.
