I just heard Rodgers blaming the last international break for their bad results. I knew it wouldn't be their own fault.

If any proof was needed that Shearer was a wnkr then tonight's MoTD should do it.

To be fair I would have celebrated an equaliser against Stoke just as much. Nothing wrong there imo

Anyone watching Rags vs Everton? I'm watching it and I watched the Merseyside derby last week and I think it looks like Martinez is being found out.Wigan was not a tight defensive unit and this year's Everton is looking similar.
"I used to be 6 foot 2 with curly hair, look what it's done to me"

"In my career so far it's the most important goal. You score the goal in the last minute to win the title. You're not sure if that's ever going to happen in your career again. I wish I could tell you how I did it but I can't. I thought for all the world that Mario was going to have a go himself but he just moved it on one more and it fell at my feet and I just thought: 'Hit the target, hit it as hard as you can and hit the target.' And it went in."

If he would just go and attack he would get something but he or his team have decided they shouldn't commit by the looks of it.

The scum are still a 1 man team though, if di Maria isn't involved then it is shit.

No, Everton's defenders are aging as well as Barry has become even slower. His squad is thin and also playing Europa league. His high pressing style really needs players rested or a wider squad.

First time they have committed forward and they have a penalty. Shit penalty.

Owen will naturally praise the keeper instead of admitting it was a shit penalty.

I agree and that's my point. Everton are perhaps not wide open but they are gung ho defending even in pretty standard situations and were it not for sloppy finishing from ManU, the game could be done and dusted now. IMO.

Going forward is where the injuries are showing I guess, Everton are making many small mistakes and often taking the wrong option. Would have been nice seeing Barkley, Osman and Mirallas have a go at this back four.

Bad penalty doesn't help them either.

Di Maria was exactly the player we needed to get. Pace, urgency, incredible delivery, and a scorer as well.

Exactly. Hope we don't miss out on the league or cup success for the sake of the £40m we probably could have got him for when Madrid were hawking him befire the rags panicked
