Some of the football back then was very.......raw....
I think it was actually more exciting than keep the ball and don't take a chance that we see more of now.

Does anyone remember the interview after the game with Malcom MacDonald, their manager? Never to this day have I seen a manager more shellshocked and lost for words
Here are the highlights and interview (around the 30 minute mark)-Watch on youtube.com
I disagree , I thought SuperMac actually handled it very well , with sporting, wry humour, great eloquence , and above all, FAR more dignity than the world has come to expect from certain other football manager we could all mention. Class act.
Didn't Malcom MacDonald come out with " At least four of their goals were offside" or something in his after match interview ? Absolute classic lol

SuperMacs interview went as follows :
"Yeah, well, uhuuuuuuuuum, the silly thing of it all was that for the first fifteen minutes or so , we were the better team, and had one or two chances to have gone ahead, Manchester couldn't really get out of their own half;having got out of their own half, we then gave McNab far too much room to get his shot in , and then , having gone a goal behind, for some reason we then went totally to pieces, one or two staring trying to look for offsides, and we've never played offsides , never ! So much as you're trying to get instructions out onto the field to people to play the way we normally do, if one of two start changing things around then no-one else knows what the hell's going on, so all in all the whole things was just a total shambles. "
